  1. Sort on multiple columns in a pivot table. I can now only sort on one column

    Suppose you want to sort on the second column from largest to smalles. And values in the first column (if they have the same value in the second column) you want to sort alphabetically. I can't find a way to do this in Excel for Mac.

  2. The new format for pivot table chart analysis is awful. Very limited in options from previous versions and I don't understand why.

    Need to role back pivot table chart analysis and options. Very limmited options from previous versions. I can't get the right look and don't like the loss of control.

  3. PivotTable

    When I click into a PivotTable from out of it (just from out of it) or when I move the selected cell over a PivotTable and stop there in the moment the PivotTable Analyze and Design menus appear the keyboard arrows don't move anymore.

    If I click again over any cell of the PivotTable (i.e., when the menus are already loaded) I can use the arrow keys - what I think should be done automatically.

  5. Median function on Pivot Tables

    Please add a median function for Pivot Tables. It is mind boggling how Google Sheets has this capabilities but the much more powerful MS Excel does not

  6. % of Parent Row Total and % of Parent Column Total

    Allow in Pivot Tables to calculate the percentage of items as part of a subgroup.

    We are pleased to announce that the first set of Power Query features are now available in version 16.29 and greater. At this stage you can refresh from text, CSV, XLSX, JSON and XML files.

  8. Please fix the recommended pivot table button

    When clicking the recommended pivottable button it doesn't bring up box with recommended pivot tables.

    Hi all – we are evaluating this request, but we want to find the best solution for your data analysis needs. It would be helpful if you would describe what you are trying to accomplish with your data so we can understand whether there’s a better way than by using the PivotTable Wizard to consolidate multiple ranges.

  10. Page breaks (and other options) for Pivot table items

    We need the ability to have page breaks in pivot tables for each change in item like Excel on the Windows platform has. Right now I have to manually set page breaks with each change of the pivot table.

  11. Allow data connection between data tables

    In windows version the data connection is possible, but in OSX version not working.
    Pls add this feature in osx version too!

  12. Pivottable - Repeat Item Labels

    Hi, there is an important function missing in Excel for Mac ... the repeat item labels in pivot tables. ¿Could you please add this function asap or tell me how could I do this? I really need it in order to copy and filter pivot table data. Regards, Tais

  13. Can't get PivotTable time grouping to work..

    In older versions of excel I can easily "group" a time column and summarize it by day, month, etc. In Excel 2016 I can no longer get this to work with any data sets so far. Grouping the data just results in a "dumb" group with no summarization features.

    I've found documentation of the "auto-grouping" feature for time in Excel, but this never seems to function or appear on my Mac....how can I replicate the legacy function??

  14. Select all within pivot table filter drop down search

    In Windows you can select a filter drop down on a pivot table and search for something and select all. On a mac, when you search for something you then have to check all items matching the criteria.

    Example: I want to filter by month and I have each day of the month in my filter field name. If I search "Aug" for "August" I then have to check August 1 - 31 rather than being able to just select all within the search.

  15. Remove all subtotals on pivot tables

    Add a checkbox for removing all subtotals on a Pivot Table like Windows Excel. It's frustrating to remove subtotals from each item individually.

  17. F3 paste range name functionality for defining range in Pivot table range definition

    Paste range name dialogue box opens in general worksheet functionality, but does not perform when defining range in pivot table range selection.

    This short cut is invaluable for rapid multiple pivot definition.

  18. Pivot Table Field List Improvements Request

    For the Pivot Table Field list, can you please have the option to make this dockable on the right like in windows excel? Please increase the size of the field name box. it starts off so small or allow (like in windows excel) the option to have the field boxes aligned vertically. Thanks.

  19. Opening .cub files to let us work on B.I. basis

    As many people who works in a Business enviroment, I face off daily data files coming from DBases on Winservers machines.
    Our Dbase export B.I. files with .cub extensions, who can be easily opened and analized with Excel 2010 or above. We have licensed Win and Mac 2016 versions, but Mac users cannot open .cub files...
    Webought Excel for that, and we won't sell our Mac for Win PCs, so why buy MS appplications if they don't work on a Mac? For simple tasks, Libreoffice works great....

  20. Pivot totals cannot be formatted independent of data columns

    Pivot tables in Mac don't allow for total columns to be edited independently of the fields listed. I would like to summarise by average whilst maintaining the sum function in the columns.
