  1. Allow Chart Styling with CSS

This would allow for an explosion of even higher quality designed Charts with motion animation (Keyframes etc) created from within Excel.

It would also create higher value usage for Excel Online if the charts were style able in web native language, and shared on the web, in Sways on Docs.com etc.

Essentially upon up the "DOM" of Excel charts to treat a true canvas of data visualization.

Interesting idea. We’ll consider this in the planning phase for the next release. Please continue to vote on this feature idea.

    • Locking Tab

The ability to lock individual tabs so that unauthorized users can not open them to either view or change content.

Locked tabs could still be seen from in the "hide/unhide" drop down but unauthorized users would not be able to open the tab.

      • Generalize MINIF and MAXIF to be SMALLIF and LARGEIF

The new conditional MIN and MAX formulae are great. Conditionalizing SMALL and LARGE would take this to the next level. A conditional version of SMALL based on the ordinary tool-set is very cumbersome.

        • VBA - Pivot Table - PageField - Multi Select Filter Performance

User interface for muti-selection has exceptional performance. Existing VBA solutions are not able to achieve anywhere near the performance.

My request is to enable VBA access to the Hi-Performance Multi-Selection.

          My post in Forum.

            • Enhance the default User Entry Form to inherit table field validation rules.

Enhance the default User Entry Form to inherit table field validation rules. Currently I think this happens but only after the form update table procedure. Would be nice to have it at the field level.

Apply an extra argument to the SUBTOTAL() function, in the form of a simple TRUE/FALSE boolean argument, to allow SUBTOTAL() to include other SUBTOTALS in the range to be included in the calculation, instead of just never include other SUBTOTALS, as it is now...

                  • [VBA] Shape color is not visible with Excel 2016, but is with Excel 2013

I've made a code for studying function SIN and COS. It's like an analog clock that shows only second hand(Line shape).
It works as expected with Excel 2013. But with Excel 2016, second hand(colored red) cannot be seen, only marks(both ends of Line) can be seen.
                    I've reproduced this, in Windows 7, 8.1, and 10.
                    --- my code ---
                    ' --- for "Sleep" スリープ関数(API)の宣言
Declare Sub Sleep Lib "kernel32" (ByVal dwMilliseconds As Long)

                    • Pop-up cell range on mouse-over

Would be nice to see a user-defined pop-up window option for mouse-over cells or objects, etc., similar to "Notes", but reveals a cell range or chart for extra details, etc.

                      • Preview Office Background & Office Theme

When I choose an Office Background or Office Theme from File > Options, I do not know what it looks like until I click OK. This is a pain if I am trying out each one to see which one looks best.

My suggestion is that once an option is chosen from the dropdown menus, the GUI should update immediately. The changes should only be permanent if the user chooses OK.

                          • Function Syntax

I am applying formulas in excel by viewing the syntax which always
                            For example : Sumif(range,criteria,[sum range])

Everytime you press "," it highlighting in Bold which criteria you are mentioning.
Now recently what I have found that if any sheet name contains any "," in it and you are applying the formula(example : sumif) from it, then it will not showing all syntax.

Not sure if this is correct forum. but just found this issue and what to share if we can remove this bug.

                              • Improved 'Delete Rows' handling when working with large filtered datasets

This has long been an issue for me in Excel...

If I have a large dataset (perhaps within a complex spreadsheet), and I want to delete a set of rows I have filtered on, Excel appears to remove a single row at a time, refreshing the screen after each.
The result is that it can take a significant amount of time (hours, in some cases) to complete this action.

The current workaround is to sort the data on the intended filter value, and then delete the rows - this then removes them in one go, and takes 1 second to…

                                • Fix the "Auto-Save Has Been Suspended for this Session" bug

Seemingly randomly, Excel will decide to pop up this error message. Once it happens, I know I'm screwed because any attempt to save the workbook will fail. The only way to prevent from losing changes is to copy them to a new workbook, save that workbook and then restart excel and copy changes back into the origin workbook.

This happens with huge spreadsheets and small ones, and I've even seen it pop up when I was not interacting with Excel at all. I.e. I was in a different application at the time, so I don't have a solid repro. That…

                                  • Errors when using the arrow key to move through a formula.

Whenever I'm half way through writing a formula in the input box at the top and I use the arrow keys to navigate through the formula, it comes up with an error/warning. This is very frustrating...I know there is an error in my formula, I'm not finished writing it yet!

                                    • Opening a CSV file should not trigger a full recalc when calcs are on manual

When calculations are on manual, only the user should be allowed to trigger a full recalc. However when you open a CSV file, Excel recalculates the whole workbook. This doesn't make any sense. You may want to recalculate the csv file itself (if someone had the bright idea of leaving formulas in a csv...) but certainly not a full recalc.

                                      • Relative path in Pivot Table source

Pivot Tables store the full absolute path to their source even if a relative path is specifically given. Please allow for the usage of relative paths. This is very useful for mainly 2 use cases: 1) Work on shared files stored on servers across remote teams (different person = different "My Documents" absolute path). 2) Making templates with prepared Pivot Tables.

                                        Please!!!
