  1. Allow multiple page ranges to be selected in the print dialog

    Older versions of Excel and the current version of word all have a single box for for defining a print range, and allow for a page set like "1-3, 7 10-12" to be printed easily. Excel has two boxes, allowing only a single range to be printed at a time. I frequently print assorted pages from spreadsheets, and have to open each resultant file in a pdf application and delete the unneeded sheets, especially if I'm printing or emailing the file.

    • Hiding a PivotField deletes right PivotChart Axis

      Have a PivotChart with 2 series bound to the left AxisGroup and 2 series bound to the right AxisGroup.
      Now hide the PivotField corresponding to one of the series bound to the left AxisGroup.
      ==> Excel deletes the right Axis and binds all series to the left AxisGroup; see Demo macro.
      That is not desired.

      • Sorting options on Excel 365 for Business

        It is imperative that we be able to sort a group of data by columns and the rest of the data move together! All that I can do at this point is sort A-Z.

        • Right click on cell options in the list - need some more options

          I would like to have more options to select after i right click a cell in Excel.
          Always wondered why not more? And the ones in there are not what i would really choose.
          One i would definitely add is the REPLACE. I always have to go up to the right to click replace. Would be so much easier to right click cell and select replace. Also would be nice to have set Print Area there too so i could select it there.
          The current choices are shown below. Need more choices. The 2 i recommend would be great to…

          • Apply button for the Format Cells dialog box

            This would simply be the addition of an 'Apply' button in the format cells dialog box. This way formatting changes can be viewed without having to reopen the dialog box.

            • Richer experience in Advanced Editor for Power Queries

              Can we have some intellisense and improved ability to reference Power Query functions in this window. It's quite a pain to have to go off to a separate guide on Power Query functions when you just need a bit of help to get going - in terms of what function you should use and / or the arguments it takes

              • Move delete context button when right clicking on a Workbook Query

                When I right click on a Workbook Query the "Edit" and "Delete" context menu options are right next to each other. I have clicked on Delete inadvertently multiple times when I wanted to click edit. From a UI perspective Delete should be farther away from any other option like Edit or Save.

                • Stop prompting "Complex formatting that is applied... ..may take a while to display."

                  I have a chart with just over 4,000 data points. EVERY TIME I draw a chart, I have to click past theis dialog in order to reduce the line style from crayon size to something that looks professional.
                  I have a 12-core Xeon box running at 3.5 GHz. Guess what, it *doesn't* take a while to display.
                  Please add a "Never ask me this again" checkbox.

                  • I can not update a xl10 datamodell to xl13 or xl16!

                    I would love to have a update tool that inspects the datamodell. Gives hints how to fix it, so that itll be ready for update.

                    At the moment all the times i try to update a xl10 datamodell to 13 or 16 i get a com error and the import crashes!

                      • Allow the "show/hide paragraph and other hidden formatting symbols" option/button, as in Word.

                        Word has this ability and I have the option on all the time. It shows if a user inadvertently hit a hard return, or extra spaces after a period. or any other hidden formatting is included. It would save valuable time in producing perfect documents. It's already in existence, just needs to be applied to Excel and PowerPoint.

                        • Add support for SQLite databases as a data source in Excel

                          SQLite, an open-source relational database and one of the most widely deployed and used database engines.(https://www.sqlite.org/mostdeployed.html).

                          It would be really useful to be able to query sqlite databases directly in excel. Either to just view data or for further analysis using powerpivot.

                            • Provide ability to save Power Query queries/codes into a library (for reuse in diff files)

                              It would be nice to be able to reuse queries, or pieces of queries in different files that need similar formatting/processing. I may want to "virtually" the same thing without always looking in a refreshed [single] file or directory.

                              • Allow me to merge several cells of text

                                I import lots of data into excel but I spend even more time formatting it once I get pulled into Excel. Can you add a merge feature to merge numerous cells? I know I can merge cells next to each other but cells above and below I can't.

                                • Problem Activating Worksheets from Modal Form

                                  In Excel 2016 if a modal user form attempts to activate a protected sheet then it will not activate properly.
                                  This bug was also noted in Excel 2013 and appears to have been fixed in Excel 2016 for unprotected sheets but protected sheets still do not activate properly.
                                  The symptoms of an improperly activated sheet are that entering values will actually cause the value to be entered on the previously activated sheet. If that cell is protected (on the previous sheet) but not protected on the active sheet it will display that the cell is protected. Scrolling with the mouse…

                                    • The object model in support of themes is weak.

                                      It should be possible to copy a theme from one workbook to another using VBA but the current object model doesn't support it. You can do a wrkbk.Theme.ApplyAs(theme_name) but there is no property that makes available the source workbook's theme.

                                      It is possible to Save and Load of two of the three theme schemes but ThemeEffectScheme doesn't support Save (just Load).

                                      These both all seem like oversights.

                                      • Option to remove title bar and its buttons

                                        The title text, min/max/restore buttons, signin button, share button are unnecessary.

                                        They take up lots of screen real-estate.

                                        I'd like to move the ones I want into the ribbon bar, and then remove the title bar.

                                        This would allow me to see much more content... you know, the important stuff. The title bar is not important.

                                        • saving to onedrive

                                          If I have 2+ excel files open, and I close one, confirm saving, then it uploads to onedrive. While this dialog box window is open, I'm locked out of my other excel sheets until the file finishes saving to onedrive. If the file is large (100+MB), then this can lock me out for several minutes.

                                          I'd like all excel file activity to be contained in that window, and not interrupt or prevent activities in the other excel file windows.
