  1. Power Query - Connect to One Drive personal

Allow Power Query to connect to a CSV/txt/Excel/Access File stored on one Drive personal

Currently the only way to do this is via a URL hack - Please support this formally

  2. Defaults for Inserting and deleting

When we insert something into a cell, it asks if we want to move things left or up - the "default" answer is LEFT .

When we delete something it asks if we want to move things right or down and the default is RIGHT.

In almost all of the inserting or deleting I do I need the opposite of what the default is, which frequently moves things where I don't want them - and I don't realize it until later.

Is there some way we can choose what we want that default to be? This would help a LOT!

  3. flickering

After the recent Office updates, my cursor is flickering in Excel, making it very difficult to do my job. The flickering is making me physically ill because of an eye issue I have and it's hard to work in Excel for more than 30 seconds at a time. I use Excel all day for my work and this is a major issue for me right now. I understand it's being worked on, but would love an update and hope that this is something that will be resolved ASAP?

  4. Support for relative path reference when using local queries

When indicating the path for a query/data input, allow the user to put a path that is relative to the folder file (i.e. same folder, something like ./QueryFile.xls or ./SecondFolder/QueryFile.xls). It's a pain ********** to update all queries locations when opening a model with different computers (like when we use networks or onedrive)

  5. Excel - remember recently used file types on save/save as

We regularly save files as both .xlsx and .pdf types. Obviously .xlsx is at the top of the drop-down list but .pdf is near the bottom. Most of the other types are never used.
Nice-to-have would be the most frequently used types at the top.

  6. A very useful feature has disappeard - the ability to send a file by email right away from the MS Office.

A very useful feature has disappeard - the ability to send a file by email right away from the MS Office. It should put back in place in the next update. Now I have to save the file, add it as an attachment to an email, and finally not to forget to delete the file.

  7. "Others" Table split option

Desperately needs a feature that's not difficult to do: A kind of maximum Output size for PivotTables and other kinds of Summary views. The function should possess the ability to create a set amount of values and/or a set amount of "others" aggregated at the bottom.

  9. Allow hyperlink to a page of other ms office document

Sometimes, the target document is read only by users (me). I cannot add bookmark in it. However, i need to put a link on my excel/ms products to link to that document on a particular page.

  10. Error With Protect Sheets

The Error was introduced on 08/25/2017 in Office 365 ProPlus Excel 2016 version 1708 (build 8431.2046), as shown below.

The error occurs when some range of cells as "Unprotected" are selected and this selection is change to “Protect”, making a "Select Locked Cells" and "Select Unlocked Cells" options unchecked, the sheet will be blocked all together. The user can’t click on any cell. However, by right clicking on any cell, the Clear Content option will appear, and clicking on it will clear the cell that was previously unlocked from the protection, losing the data and invalidating the sheet protection. Another…

  11. A GLookup function

We already have VLookup and HLookup, how about GLookup that would allow me to find a value in a grid by passing a value for the X & Y axis of the grid, then returning the value in the cell that intersects. This is how I envisage it:

    =GLOOKUP(["TABLE" RANGE],[HLOOKUP VALUE],[VLOOKUP VALUE],[TRUE/FALSE])

  12. Fix - Some users lose fill colour formatting when they add a header

For some users when they add a header to the document and add anything to the header it automatically changes the fill colour display on the rest of the document. When the user closes the header (or switches from page display to normal display) the fill colours show up again. It happens to only some users when everyone is on the same windows (10) and excel version (1708). We tried updating the display driver and ran all the windows updates as well as all the excel updates. I've called Microsoft support and the technician found the same problem on their…

  13. Enhance a bit of Hyperlink formula

I want hyperlink click event without using vba.

cell("address") can help me to find the last edited cell. if Hyperlink can trigger this, then, other cells can use cell("address") in formula.

    Hyperlink(link, [friendlyname],[Trigger cell formula(0-true,1-false,default:1)])

  14. Return to 2013

I used to be able to link the values of cells in one workbook with the cell in another workbook simply by typing = in the cell of the receiving workbook sheet and double click on the sorce cellk in the source workbook. Now it no longer works why

  15. Ctrl + U - Last Update Office 2016

In the last update of Office 2016 there was a change in the action of one of the Excel commands.
The Ctrl + U command, before the update, always had the action to open the Excel REPLACE window.
After the last update this command is directed to the LOCATE window.
There is already a command for the LOCATE action, which is Ctrl + L.
It does not make sense to have two different commands for the same action (LOCATE).
The command Ctrl + U (REPLACE) has always been very useful in my activities.
    Can you correct it?

  16. Hello - I'd like to see an obvious way to know what version of Excel I'm using so when I search for help, results are relevant

Not seeing anything that says "Excel 2016" or any version info without digging around. When I search for help with an issue, I'm geeting so much useless info since it doesn't apply to the version that I'm working with.

Thanks much and keep up the great work

  17. Search and Replace: differentiate between Ctrl-B and Ctrl-H again

No kidding, as of this week, Ctrl-F (Ctrl-B in swedish) and Ctrl-H do the same thing: the Search and Replace box opens, with the Search tab selected. So it is an extra Alt-R (in my case, swedish Ersätt) to get to the Replace tab. What went wrong?
Please let the two open different tabs again, just like it was before.

  18. automatically remove unused ranges when saving (control file size)

Today, if a file becomes bloated due to empty range being tagged as "used", it is possible to go through each worksheet, delete the blank ranges of rows or columns after the real data, and resave to shrink the file.

Would it be possible to improve Excel's algorithm to identify used ranges, and re-scan files during the save process to reduce range sizes automatically, and save users from this file bloat?

It seems like it would be easy to detect cells without contents, so I'm guessing the current algorithm is looking at applied styles or something similar. If that were…

  20. Fix WEBDAV drive map issue starting with release 1705.

The most current versions of the Office 365 software have caused problems opening files over a mapped WebDAV drive. This process worked up until release 1705, then stopped working with that and subsequent releases. Excel files must be copied to a local drive to be opened. This problem only occurs in Excel, not in Word, Powerpoint, or Access. The error message states that Excel 'cannot open the file', no further information. The problem does not occur when drives are mapped directly. Our WebDAV file server is running HTTP Commander, and has not been reconfigured or updated during the time frame…
