  1. Add a floating totals row to dynamic arrays

When using dynamic arrays, it would be nice to have the option of a floating totals row at the bottom of the dynamic spill range.

  2. Eliminate the new "Save your changes to this file?" dialog box

In the last week, whenever I close down a new Excel file without saving it, a new dialog box appears asking "Save changes to this file?". Whereas previously I could use keyboard shortcuts to immediately close down a file (Ctrl-F4, N), this no longer works. Instead, the new box interprets the "N" keypress as something to be entered into the "File Name" text field.

  3. Add Power BI Dataflows as a data source in "Get & Transform Data"

Please add Power BI Dataflows as a data source so that I can import data from a Dataflow into the local spreadsheet/data model.

  4. Please Allow Keyboard Shortcut Customizations In Excel.

Surprisingly Customizations In Keyboard Shortcuts Are Allowed For Excel In Mac And Not Windows Even When Both Excel And Windows Are Microsoft Trademark.
Please Add Feature To Allow Keyboard Customizations To Excel As In Work For Aiding Ease Of Access To Various Commands As Per User Preferences.
    Thanks.

  5. Find/Replace fails when multiple worksheets selected in Excel 365 (version 1902)

I selected multiple sheets and I tried to replace the "=" character with "eq=" in all the selected worksheets at one time. Since the 8/2019 version 1902 update, this find replace didn't work. Only some of the "=" characters were replaced.

  6. Convert Dynamic Arrays into Tables

The new Dynamic Arrays make possible to automatically fill down formulas. Tables can also fill down formulas. Microsoft Excel Team could make both features be compatible so we could convert Dynamic Arrays into Tables making them expand and shrink according to the main formula.

  7. vlookup case sensitive

very simple,VLOOKUPs are case insensitive, VLOOKUPS should be case sensitive. One use case are Salesforce reports. They produce 15 character Ids that require case sensitivity functionality in order lookup against.

  8. When copying tabs, somtimes we have to cycle through 100s of "Yes" or "No" to the "Name already exists warning" Can we add Yes to All option

This is a major productivity killer for power users such as finance teams, and current UX does not help exit this state efficiently.

Good news! We have released a few fixes to Insiders to address this issue. If you are on Insiders, please let us know if the fix has worked for you.

The fixes should be in build 11809.10000 and onwards.

  10. Entering Dates after 2030

I'm entering dates going out to 2032, and when I enter dates like 10/1/32, Excel is changing the date to 1932. Excel should be defaulting to 2032 like it does for dates in the 2020's.

  12. Improve VBA protection

it is not a secret that the VBA protection password is very weak, it is very frustrating that I can't defend properly a sensitive code in the one of the biggest and popular software (Excel) in the world.
improving VBA protection is a game changer for lots of people.

  13. Have a date function that is shows the date of when a data point was entered

We'd like to have a function in which we could see the date of when a data point was entered into the system. Like that we wouldn't have to enter the date manually every time we entered a data point into the spreadsheet. it would be like an if statment, example( =IF(B3<>" ",DateOfEntry()," ")) the function itself would be the "DateOfEntry()" the issue we have with Today() is that it updates every day and therefore every time we enter the spreadsheet the date information is updated to the current date and we arent able to have proper tracking of the…

  14. Tables should default to "My table has headers" being ticked

It's taken me 10 years to realise this but I've never "unchecked" My Table has headers, it's ALWAYS the other way round, forgetting to remember to tick it because Excel hasn't recognised the header row.

Let's default the tick to always on ?

  15. Please make it easier for the eye to spot the active cell. The thin green lines are too hard to spot.

Give us the possibility to change the background color, of the active cell, to any color suites the user.

  16. Excel Open file in multi instance by default

Hi We need to open a new instance of Excel by deflaut each time we open an excel file. The following solution are not suitable.

you can start a new Excel instance (process) by doing the following:
    run “Excel /x” (without quotes)
or the DisableMergeInstance regkey because it works only when you open excel first and then open the file. It does not works double clicking on an excel file. Don't give one of those solution (https://excelgorilla.com/excel/general/open-multiple-instances-excel/) as we need it to be by default as Excel 2010 behavior.

  17. COLUMNA() returns the letter(s) where as COLUMN() returns a number

column() is great, as usually we want the column NUMBER

BUT when you want the column LETTER(s), something like

    COLUMNA()

    could return it.

    I know you can use
    =SUBSTITUTE(ADDRESS(1,COLUMN(A1),4),"1","")
    but it's pretty long-winded...

    to clarify
    =COLUMN(AB1) returns 28
    =COLUMNA(AB1) returns AB

  19. Expand Dark Mode

Provide an option in dark mode in which the cell color defaults to black ( ie "no fill" results in a black background) and the text color defaults to white or light gray

  20. DONT'T CHANGE MY FORMULA!!!!!!!

How about keeping the formula intact, returning a #REF result and NOT editing the formula with a #REF comment. This stupid idea prevents one from following the formula back and evaluating what the error is, or what cell it's referencing. Who ever thought of doing this should have some training! If one receives a spreadsheet developed by someone else, they may not know how the formulas work/reference, but leaving the formula intact gives the opportunity to understand what the result should be. CHANGING the formula should NEVER be an automatic option by the software!!!!!
