CTRL+M to launch Power Query Editor
Well, we know that
the language behind Power Query is called M;
it takes at least three clicks to launch Power Query Editor;
the shortcut CTRL+M is currently unassigned...
Why not using CTRL+M to launch Power Query Editor?112 votes -
Python integration
It would be nice if we could use Python for writing macros rather than VBA. (I realize that it's possible to automate Excel externally using Python and the COM interface, but this is slow.)

SUBSTITUTES function supporting arrays of "find" and "replace" parameters
From time to time, users need to remove multiple characters from a string. For example, you might want to remove all punctuation, or all accented characters.
Right now, you have to do that with a lengthy nested formula using the SUBSTITUTE function. Such formulas are hard to read and challenging for a novice to debug. Or you could write a VBA user-defined function that performs each of the substitutions for you.
The better approach would be a SUBSTITUTES function that works like SUBSTITUTE but accepts an array (or range of cells) for the Find parameter, and possibly also for the…

Improving 'Refers to' Navigation in Name Manager's New Name dialog
An accepted issue for many years, the 'Refers to:' box in the 'New Name' dialog is troublesome when you wish to edit or move within this box using the arrow keys. This is because the cell references change instead.
Given LAMBDA is going to use this interface, and the formulae may be long (pointed out by fellow MVP Oz du Soleil), isn't it time this were fixed?
This issue catches us all out from time to time and I struggle to see the benefit of using the arrow keys to change the cell references here.

"Worksheet Sorter" for Excel
A useful tool in PowerPoint is the "Slide Sorter" which allows you to quickly view, navigate and rearrange many slides. I think adding a "Worksheet Sorter" in Excel's "View" tab would be just as useful, and would make navigating 20+ worksheets much, much easier. If you agree with me please vote!

Allow UNIQUE() to operate on a rectangular range, returning all unique values
The new Dynamic Array function UNIQUE is awesome. It can return all of the unique items in a column or in a row. But it would be nice if the second argument could accept a 3 to indicate cell-by-cell.
For example, see the screenshot below.102 votes -
Money in Excel - Import Transactions
In Money in Excel, it would be nice to have the option to import transactions. I have transactions I would like to include in my spreadsheet, but they aren't able to be imported via Plaid.

Lock workbooks/cell ranges to some users
At present, you can lock cells, but then you are locking them from yourself as well as a colleague. There should be a feature where I can allow users access to certain cell ranges, while the workbook remains unlocked to me, the author. Also, I should be able to grant access to a cell range to Colleague 1, and grant access to another cell range to Colleague 2. They need access to their section to work, without the worry that they can edit and make a mistake in my sections.

Expand Name Editor for LAMBDA function
Since we will have the ability to use the LAMBDA function in a name definition to create user defined function, it would be a good idea to the expand the Refer To field in the Name Manager beyond a single line. The LAMBDA function has been out in the Beta channel for about a week and already I have seen some very detailed definitions that would be difficult to maintain in that single line.

Money in Excel should allow manual entry of transactions.
Money in Excel should allow manual entry of older transactions so that the whole year's transactions can be contained in 1 sheet. Right now Money can only import about 90 days of transactions and January and February are missing from my transaction log.

Give users option to display multiple workbooks in a single window like pages in a web browser
In edge, chrome, firefox, etc a user can open 1, 2, 3, or 100 pages inside one browser window, then easily switch between them. Let's bring that same simplicity to excel!

Remove account information in top
Please remove account information in the top of office programs.
- I don't care which user is logged in.
- It is useless information. P
People around me is not supposed to know who I am.
So please hide it under "File" or whatever.
I want however to see the file name! I have 4 excel docs open but have no clue which ones because there is no room for the document name, because of this account information in the top.
Please remove it.

Property in Power Query "Enable background refresh" - default to unchecked
When creating a new query in Power Query, by default the property "Enable background refresh" is enabled. Please make this property be unchecked by default. The cases where I need this property disabled outgrow at large the cases where the background refresh can be turned on.

When removing a filter from a column ... Keep the actual selected line AND DONT GO ROW 1 !!!!!!
It's so dumb, no need for description .. but well after 25 or more versions of excel ...
So you filter a column, and you find the line with the data you want, you select the cell/row you want, and go in the menu and remove the filter .... TADA excel unselects the line you wanted and goes back to row 1 !
really sad :(3 votes -
financial market information disclaimer
I know this has been requested in the past by others. But:
The Financial Market Disclaimer, across the top of the spreadsheet, when using stock data, needs to be removed as it is in the users face. Just have one universal acknowledgment, like the investment banks have, and remove the disclaimer.4 votes -
