  1. Select range via mouse click + scroll wheel

    Like Word and OneNote and web browsers, I should be able to click and hold the left mouse button, then scroll the mouse wheel to scroll the view and extend the selection. Currently while holding down the left mouse button, the scroll wheel does nothing, so to perform a large range selection I have to slowly and awkwardly drag the mouse near the bottom edge of the window.

  2. find and replace, invert and clear buttons

    on the Excel Find and Replace dialogue:
    add a button to the left of the Options button to invert/reverse/swap the values in the Find and Replace fields, and another to clear both the Find and Replace values and plant the cursor in the Find field.

  3. Allow insertion of text from a word doc to an excel worksheet cell

    A lot of companies send out RFI documents in the form of Excel workbooks. I am currently grappling with how we insert text that is currently stored in a lot of word documents. The text is the answers to the questions asked in the questionnaire. At present, I can only insert this text as an object on the worksheet. I would prefer the text to be inserted into the cell.

  4. checkout broken

    With any Sharepoint file where version control is activated, you would normally get a prompt asking you to checkout the file before you modify it.
    Now, I got this Sharepoint Libary that I synch locally using the latest OneDrive (thank god, it now lets you decide which files you want to keep locally!).
    But here's the thing: I no longer get the checkout prompt in Excel, and the worse part is that I can't edit the file because Excel has openned it in read-only.
    Even though I checkout the file manually on Sharepoint, it still opens the file in read-only…

  5. Allow multiple hyperlinks within a cell

    When adding a hyperlink in Excel, it currently applies to the whole cell. However, it would be great if Excel would allow having multiple hyperlinks within a single text cell.

    For instance, if I have a cell with a text showing "This item can be found HERE and THERE", it would be great that I can add a hyperlink only to the word "HERE" and a different one to the word "THERE".

  7. Restore keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Sh+0 functionality to unhide column

    Up to Excel 2003, the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Sh+0 would unhide a column or columns. Since the shortcut isn't being used for anything else, please restore the functionality

  8. allow people to globally remove features

    Excel 2019 has added a few features that are hindering accountants and others from being able to be productive. Trying to "disable" those functions do not work. I created a new column, adjacent to a Contract Number Column. In the new column, I needed to take either the last 5 digits or the last 6 digits on the Contract Number in the new column. When I put in the formula in the first cell, ALL the cells in that column became populated with the formula. When I tried to change the formula in a cell below (since I needed the…

  9. Paste Special - number format only.

    Paste Special - number format only

    The only past special options on number format are associated with either a formula or value. Oftern I need to standard formats across a number of cells and this functionality would allow this without using Paste formats which pastes all cells format styles - font, border, colour fill, etc

  10. Unhide mulitpile or all hidden sheets

    Being able to unhide all or multiple sheets at once, rather than single sheet.
    When the selection of hidden sheets appear have the ability to pick different sheets by using Ctrl and mouse
    Maybe also have an unhide all option

  11. Un-protect a worksheet/workbook for excel online

    Can we please get a way to un-protect a worksheet without having to open the file in offline excel in edit mode?

  12. A way to insert lines or columns

    There is no current easy/quick way or symbol to push or no entry in the :Help symbol whereby one can enter a new line or column on the chart you are working with

  13. Cell formatting shall be preserved when pasting ranges in a protected sheet (as if paste formulas or paste values where the only option).

    When copy/pasting into a range of unlocked cells in a protected worksheet, the paste of formats shall be discarded (as if paste formulas or paste values where the only option).

  14. short cut key for Paste just value

    Many tims I copy and paste things around from difrent webpages or diffrent spreadsheets into my excel file and it keeps the format too wich causes problem, unless I right click and choos the option, which is so frustrating when you are copy/pasting over hundred things.
    I tried to set one but there is no way. I tried Macro bet it did not work.
    Please please just add a shortcut key (like Shift+Ctrl+v) or let us to set the default like MS Word.

  15. use arrow keys when editing text in dialog boxes

    When editing dialog boxes such as the Data Validation box, using an arrow key doesn't move you within the text but instead puts a cell reference into a formula. Please make it work like Excel functions which only put the cell in if you are entering the formula for the first time, but otherwise use the arrow keys to move around. Or better still make this toggleable by pressing F2.

  17. Remember selection of columns/rows after you inserted copied cells once

    In previous versions of excel you could copy a full column and insert it multiple times within the excel file without additional action. In latest versions of excel the clipboard for the copied column/row is cleared after inserting the column/row once. This requires re-copying the columns/rows each time you want to insert it again. Please restore the previous functionality in which the columns/rows are stored in the clipboard until another action is taken.

  18. Cut and delete/remove cells

    When cutting & pasting information (rows or columns) from the middle of one sheet to another sheet or workbook I always think it's a real pain to have to go back to the first sheet to delete the empty rows or columns.
    I'm no Excel expert, but I've never found a way around this?
    So my idea is to have a (right click) "cut & delete" or "cut & remove" option?

  19. Add functionality for ctrl+shift+v paste without formatting

    Other programs allow paste without formatting using ctrl+shift+v. Though this can be done through the right click menu it would be great to see this function built in.

  20. I have three solutions for Double Click at the top or bottom of a cell takes you to top or bottom of the sheet

    Solution 1:
    We should only apply "cell drag-and-drop" feature for 2 vertical line of a cell, not for 2 horizontal line of a cell.
    Because the "Double-click and shift top or down" issue is usually happen when we double-click on 2 horizontal line of a cell.

    Solution 2:
    We can separate 2 features: "fill handle" and "cell drag-and-drop", then don’t use "cell drag-and-drop"
    But we can add a "move" button to the menu that appears when we right-click on a cell,
    use that "move" button and drop the selected cell to the other cell.
