  1. Intellisense for functions messes with headers

    When you write a formula, sometimes you'd prefer to type a reference you're actually looking on the screen... The problem is that the intellisense help doesn't let you see letter of headers.
    I know you can manually move this to clear vision, BUT...

    It'll be better to have this shown without this by default.

    Once you move it, alignment of intellisense function arguments and formula arguments is lost, so you miss a big help when editing nested formulas.

  3. Pivot Table Default Settings

    I always want to do sum on values in the pivot table but there is no default settings for pivot table , right?
    just left click and change value settings all the time, but i want it default setting i m lazy

  4. Prevent edit, but allow Commenting

    Similar to how this option is available in Word (and Google sheets)...allow ability to protect the excel sheet/workbook from editing, but allow comments to be added, changed, viewed, etc.

  5. Add a feature that will help to sort/filter a value with multiple appearances e.g double entry, multiple entry

    am intending to clean my data but it seems one individual has been entered more than one time some double, others triple others about four hence multiple appearances
    I would like to have feature in office 2016 similar to what appears in previous excel versions.

  7. Disable Autofill for specific Columns

    The feature autofill is extraordinarily useful.

    But sometimes the suggestions bother in specific columns.

    I suggest to add an option to disable autofill for specific columns - and not only globally.

  8. Allow quick access to user-defined symbol subsets

    In the "Symbols" selection window, we have "Recently used symbols" which is nice for locating a previously used symbol but it does not scale for large collections, on the contrary, the fact that it reorders the symbols such that the last selected symbol is placed at the beginning of the list makes it difficult to locate a specific symbol by recalling it's static position. The suggestion asks for the ability to create user-defined subsets of Unicode characters per font that can be shown quickly by clicking on a "quick access toolbar" item or custom ribbon button

  9. Gropuing applied steps in powerquery

    I would love to be able to group applied steps into folders. With multiple steps applied navigating up and down the pane can be a pain. Grouping them in a namable group with expand and contract buttons would be awesome. You guys should definitely do this one. I would be super happy.

  10. WHY DOES THE PASTE FUNCTION NOW SAY THE SIZE OF THE COPIED CELLS DOES NOT MATCH THEN REFUSES TO PASTE? IT WAS WORKING TWO SECONDS AGO. NOW

  11. New Feature "Spotlight"

    Spotlight - This feature would be activated by highlighting cells, rows, columns, or find all feature, right click to activate, and Excel would keep a spot light (highlight) on those specific cells, until the escape key is pressed, or until it is deactivated. Would make it much easier to work on specific cells/ rows/ columns in a large data set. The cells would remain highlighted for editing purposes, until deactivated.

  12. Working on more that one open Excel document

    When working on 2 open Excel documents (back and forth between the two), there comes a time after 10 to 20 minutes when neither allows changes or edits any further - until one of the two documents is closed. Then the changes can be edited and saved. I can re-open the closed document and things work okay for another ten minutes or so until the problem repeats. This is a bug that Microsoft needs to address with a future update!

  15. In the Dutch version, you now have two kinds of "opmerkingen"

    You have introduced a second kind of comment. In the Dutch version, you now have two "opmerkingen" next to each other. I suggest you keep the old one as "opmerkingen" and rename the new comment boxes to "notitie", "commentaar", or "aantekening" . I'd prefer the first, as it is shorter.

  17. Word has SHIFT + F3 to toggle font style to all caitals, all lower case, and Camel type. Provide this for Excel also.

    Please add options which are in use from Microsoft Office Word 2016, also in Microsoft Excel. For example, provide option to toggle and change font in selected phrase, from ALL CAPS, all lower case, or Camel Type on words. Word uses SHIFT + F3.

  19. Data Validation doesn't work for autofilled data

    E.g. if I have List validation with Int16, Int32 and so on for a Range, and have Int16 in some cell in the Range, I can fill down Int17, Int18 and so on. So Data validation Rules are ignored for fill down operation.

  20. Sizing Handle for Data Validation set-up box

    When entering a long formula into the dialogue box for Data Validation, navigation along the formula string is difficult (impossible?) because there is no handle to allow the box to be stretched wider or higher.

    Allowing the text to wrap would help but both movements would be best.

    I have used an IF statement with several arguments and need to check the logic in a separate cell and then copy the string into the Dialogue box.
