  1. In excel for large data use seperate database in excel & save as database file attach to same excel file for save time & space of proecssing

    above suggestion is given because i always face & can not handle this error "excel cannot complete this task with available resources" for large database while processing & saving

  3. Be able to select template for a new workbook with the keyboard or at least have them displayed as a list rather than as thumbnails

    I have dozens of templates and I know their names, but because the templates are only displayed as thumbnails arranged alphabetically, to use the ones that start with letters like "U" takes multiple mouse clicks. Like it was in previous versions, I would like to be able to start typing the name and get a very limited list of templates (eventually down to one) to select.

  4. Having to click the 'Enable content' button every time I open a worksheet is driving me bonkers! How do we turn it OFF?

    This just seems to be a big waste of time and I don't need this feature. I want to be able to disable it.

  5. DropBox missing from "Add a Place in Office 2016

    In Office 2013 users had the ability to add non-Microsoft cloud storage providers (DropBox Google) to "Add a Place". This interoperability was a valuable asset to the user trying to use Office applications. In Office 2016 the ability to add DropBox is no longer available in the UI. The only options are Microsoft cloud stores.

  6. Easy Method to Export Single Worksheets (rather than copy into new notebook)

    Single-click on worksheet tab to save to a new workbook file. Many sheets that need to distribute single sheets to different people, without having to copy sheet to a new book and then saving.

  8. Please, improve the protection of Excel spreadsheets

    I have found that OpenOffice and LibreOffice can open Excel spreadsheets with password very easily. This seems like a pretty serious problem. I hope you will correct soon. Thank you

  9. Need to bring back Recent Items folder originally available under Win 7 favorites. New file access within Apps is anti productivity

    May Recent Items folder available to Quick Access that shows up in open and save option in Windows Office Apps

  10. file explorer and the "save" and "save as" etc boxes should be larger and have larger default fonts.

    Bigger box and bigger fonts when being asked to name, rename, save as file commands

  11. In Office 365, fix the 'reopen after closing' bug

    In Office 365, both Excel and Word always try to reopen after I've closed them. This has been reported by many people, but nothing seems to have been done to fix it, even with the regular updates.

  12. Saving a workspace includes the path of all workbooks.

    This is just plain awkward and non-transparent to the user. When I save my workspace Excel thinks it knows best by including the full path in the resulting .xlw file. If I make a copy of the workspace and all files in a new folder the workspace continues to "point" to the original location and opens those instead.
    There must be some means of making this information available and editable by the user.

  14. [BUG] Excel 2016 update 16.0.6769.2040

    the more you save a file, the less you can open it. it takes a longer time to open until you can't open it anymore. Impossible to work in this conditions. Please make an update because to reinstall doesn't fix the problem.

  15. saving to onedrive

    If I have 2+ excel files open, and I close one, confirm saving, then it uploads to onedrive. While this dialog box window is open, I'm locked out of my other excel sheets until the file finishes saving to onedrive. If the file is large (100+MB), then this can lock me out for several minutes.

    I'd like all excel file activity to be contained in that window, and not interrupt or prevent activities in the other excel file windows.

  16. Allow files to load from browser.

    Before the upgrade to Office 365 (I think) we had Office 2010. I was able to go to the file search window and select the file I wanted to open. A simple double click opened the file in Excel, Word, Power Point, or whatever.

    Now, the same action opens the application, but there is no file. I have to use the "File" menu within the program and search a second time to find the file and open it the long way.

    Please correct this error and do an update.

  17. Simultaneous file saving output.

    Usually I save one excel file into an htm and pdf format. and I have to repeat the process of saving. How about there could be an option where a user can save a file simultaneously to different outputs. In my case. If I could save my file as an html and pdf at the same time, that would be truly helpful in my work. Totally saves a lot of time.

  18. Fix problem that changes linked Excel file location

    When creating a link between data in 2 Excel sheets without OneDrive, the program links to the file location on the hard drive. Once OneDrive is in place, Excel forgets the hard drive location and only links to the OneDrive web location... so when you open the file the data link to the other file fails. This is a MAJOR problem. This renders one of the most vital functionality of Excel useless!

  19. Use system date format in the recently used files list

    The recently used files list currently uses USA date format m/d/yyyy instead of the user's system setting. It should use the user's setting. Not everyone lives in the USA!

  20. Save to current folder instead of "Document Library"

    In a corporate environment you often have 1000+ people on the same server, with 10+ levels of subfolder defining your little part of it. So, it's a REAL PAIN when every time you want to save a copy of a workbook to your folder (or maybe a new subfolder of the current folder's parent) that you are always thrown out to the "Document Library" so that you have to navigate back through all the subfolders to where you just were. The "Document Library" is a fixed location, so it should be accessible via a button on the Save As dialog,…
