  2. Embed Snippet into the 'Insert' tab.

I love your snipping tool! However, it is far too cumbersome within the Office environment. Why not just embed it into the 'Insert" tab?

Currently, users have the additional unnesseccary steps:

-Step outside of the Office environment

-Save the Snippet to a file or desktop

    -Return to the Office environment

    -Click on the "Insert" tab

    -Select "Pictures"

-Find the folder location of the Snippet

-Optional, but likely: I find that most users don't keep their snippets beyond just sharing for some temporary purpose (paste it in a document, email, etc.). In these cases they'd either have to return to the…

  3. Please enable workbook sharing with PivotTables and Maps

Please update workbook sharing so that we can share workbooks even if they have 3D maps or PivotTables and please bring the 3D map feature to Excel online.

  4. An opening note/how-to written by author

As someone who has inherited a lot of excel workbooks with a lot of data or names but no info for how it was organized, last updated, etc. It would be great if there was a feature to write a sort of welcome to this workbook, here's what you need to know, how often this should be updated, where to find the information or any other type of instructions that the previous author of a workbook would tell a new owner of the workbook.

  5. Expand Excel (and Word) co-authoring to Box/DropBox

Please expand Excel (and other Office) co-authoring to other cloud platforms like Box and DropBox - it is a great functionality and would be better if it supported wider platforms.

  6. Allow autosave/co-authoring for password protected workbooks

When using co-authoring with Autosave in latest Excel desktop client, it fails if the workbook is password protected. Allow multiple users to edit a password protected workbook.

  7. Password protect a workbook with password protecting sheets

After blocking / protecting cells (with a password) in sheets, so users can only manoeuvre within unprotected cells and enter data there, one should be able to protect the entire workbook again, for subsequent distribution.

So, there is a 2nd layer of protection over the 'pre-distributed' version.
    Optionally with a 2nd password.
The method of protection should be the same.

So, the idea is to have a 'workbook-protection' (optionally with password) and a 'sheet-password' for all the individual sheets.
Passwords not to be the same and the sheet password only for the developer.

  8. Hidden cell protection in Excel fails with copy command

When you hide a row/column in an excel spreadsheet and lock it with a password, you would still be able to see that hidden content after copy-pasting that whole section. Is is possible to protect that hidden content? This might be really helpful in collaborative sharing so that clients wont be able see any internal comments.

  10. Add a formula that shows "Date Last Saved" to minimize collaboration issues

My agency deals with DropBox and tons of Excel sheets. We have run into countless problems when there are DropBox syncing errors across our various sites, leading to loss of data, losing a day of productivity, and/or people not realizing they're not working in the most recently saved file.

Since DropBox (mis)use isn't going to stop anytime soon, it would be VERY helpful for us to have a feature similar to TODAY() to show the most recent save, in the file, to help our employees communicate with less confusion, and help ensure we're all working in the most recently saved…

  11. Multiple users access

Is there any way for multiple users to edit and make changes in same spreadsheet in real time through cloud?

  12. Check boxes

Have the ability to add Check Boxes like in OneNote - be able to simply add a check box into a cell and be able to check it off

  14. Share individual worksheet

It would be useful if it was possible to share individual worksheets in an Excel workbook. I would like to be able to create a workbook with multiple sheets and share just one of those sheets with others Office 365 users.

  15. Disributed calculation (with colleagues computers)

I'm sure that Microsoft's experts will be able to optimize the Power Query code. However, almost certainly there will be users with very massive models that update very long. Please add the possibility of using distributed computing to process Power query queries.
It would be very cool if we will be able to configure in a simple interface wich of colleagues computers in the local network (and maybe on the Internet), whose resources, can be used to speed up the calculation. And when processing queries, use avialable resources together.
In addition, the use of distributed computing in a local network…

  16. Make 'PERSONAL' macro files easily syncable between multiple computers

It would be good if it was easy to have you 'PERSONAL' macro file syncable between two devices. I currently have a work around but it requires two separate other programs to work which is a pain plus if either of them are not running for whatever reason it doesn't work and I can get two files both with new additions making it hard to workout what's what.

  17. Trust Center Trusted Locations needs to integrate with OneDrive/Live AutoSave redirection

The new OneDrive/Live AutoSave functionality opens a file at a cryptic live.com address, even if the user opens the file from C:\users\myuser\onedrive\somefile.xlsm. Adding C:\users\myuser\onedrive\ as a Trusted Location does no good and the file is still untrusted because it was actually opened from this cryptic live.com address.

The people who designed AutoSave for OneDrive/Live clearly never talked to the people who designed Trusted Locations.

  18. Paste tables from word / outlook without splitting multiline cells into multiple rows

let users paste a table from Word / Outlook to excel without introducing new rows... (just ignore the line breaks so that multiple lines of text from a cell in WORD is still just one cell in EXCEL.

these tables in word or outlook are probably pasted from Excel to word/outlook in the first place :)

copying tables back should be the same... or maybe a PASTE SPECIAL option "paste from table"...

Without this feature, your users have been for the past decade using workarounds like:
    * paste in to google sheets and moving that file back...
    * replace newline…

  19. Team Chat

Small chat windows for users currently editing a document to chat in. Windows would be on a document by document basis and visible to all users editing the document

  20. Fix comments displaying across frozen panes

Comment bubbles only "float" over the fixed worksheet area that's set by default or that's manually changed by the user. They also will float over hidden adjacent rows or columns. However, if a comment is in a cell that's fixed using the "freeze panes" feature but the worksheet display isn't contiguous to the comment bubble, the bubble will be cut off instead of float over the frozen panes.

This makes it impossible to read a comment saved in a row 1 header field (say to read details of what type of data is supposed to go there) but the cell…
