TELL ME WHERE THE FORMULA REFERENCE ERRORS ARE. TELL ME WHERE THE FORMULA REFERENCE ERRORS ARE.
I swear to god. "Excel found a problem with one or more formula references in this worksheet" could only be more annoying if it actually wiped your hard drive and then forced your computer to kick you in the face. It still comes close. First of all, don't tell me there's an error every single new entry. Guess what, I'm looking for it. But I can't find it. Why is that? Well, secondly, and I want to scream this, TELL ME. WHERE. THE ERRORS. ARE. TELL ME. TELL ME. The entire reason for Excel's existence is to be able to put data in different cells, why in the name of all that is holy would you ever, ever, ever have any function which can't be traced? What's next? Formulas? Are we going to have vlookups referencing "somewhere in the sheet"? Are we going to have VBA code altering "one or more" values? Tell me where the error is and I will fix it.
This is from someone who has spent the last half hour undoing all their last hour work to try and find this mysterious magical error. Still haven't. This garbage is unbelievable.
Edit: I have undone about three hours of work now. I still can't find it. This is a spreadsheet which I use every week, expanding almost a hundred table ranges, and now I am going to get this insult every single time I do so. Or I can spend another few hours trawling through it in search of the mysterious magical error. Or, and here's a wild idea, excel could TELL ME WHERE IT IS.
