Autosave & Save: Incremental
Improve Autosave feature so that there is an option to autosave to hard drive and not the default of One Drive. Some don't have that option and others like myself don't want to save valuable data to the cloud!
Add an option to both autosave and save to enable incremental backups. So that when you save you not only save as per normal, but you also save a backup and save the backup file as an incremental save adding (1) (for example ) to the filename.
This gives you a current save with which you continue to work with and an incremental save at that point to which you can always go back to. As I quite often do.
This is done every time you save the current file, or the file is autosaved. The backup will automatically add +1 to the backup filename in order not to overwrite the previous backup!
VBA coding requires filenames to remain the same when used as a reference in the code and manually creating backups requires two saves in order to remain in sync with the coding.
Save (Filename) and then save as to create a backup (Filename (1) ) and then in order to remain in sync you have to close the save as file which would have automatically changed to the current file and reopen the previous current file in order to remain in sync with the coded names.
This would prove to be a valuable addition to the current save and also much improve the poor autosave and auto-recover functions. Both of which leave something to desire!
