How can we improve Excel for Windows (Desktop Application)?

Remove account information in top

Please remove account information in the top of office programs.


  1. I don't care which user is logged in.

  2. It is useless information. P

  3. People around me is not supposed to know who I am.


  4. So please hide it under "File" or whatever.


I want however to see the file name! I have 4 excel docs open but have no clue which ones because there is no room for the document name, because of this account information in the top.

Please remove it.

    Just stumbled upon some video you youtube with guy showing something in Excel. And guess what? He put this blue rectangle to hide his account information!

    It should be removed from right corner completely and only located in FILE->ACCOUNT with 1 more protection level: to see email address and 1st name/2nd name you have to click on it and then it will be shown, this way it's possible to prevent cases when you accidentally entered FILE-ACCOUNT screen.

    Hi,
    Totally agree. I really don't understand why it can't simply stay in FILE->ACCOUNT and not in the right corner.

    When i share my screen to people and record a videos i don't want anybody to see my personal details as well as email if i mistakenly click in right corner!!!

    I'm using Office Pro Plus 2019 (version 1808) and it does not have my name at the top, but the file name, like you are requesting.
