True Dark Mode
Actually make the dark mode for Excel change the working document's background colour black/dark without needing to format.

I created a "DarkMode" style. Obviously, you can't print it out but at least you can look at it.

And the white in the centre part makes it look even brighter.

@Siddharth Reuben - dark mode in Excel doesn't default the background table dark, so your main working area is still bright white.

You can use dark mode in exel

Ideally it should be like Outlook with that light/dark button for the email content.

Agreed, it should be like Outlook with that button!

I think the best way is the same button as in Outlook, right? So easy to use and already implemented in Outlook with great user response...
Actually i want this button :-). -

Reposting this comment from another similar suggestions: I like this idea in principle, but please don't make it so that dark mode REQUIRES a black workbook. I like my workbook to stay white, but love dark mode. Please don't make me switch back to grey or colorful just to keep my working space white.

I'd say make it the same as how you currently do it for Outlook messages.

Please add in a color inversion to make things dark, the searing white background! I cant't take it any more, its not pink eye! It the monitors and q-led's and all this new display tech that is making screens with more energy output than the Death Star! Less white!!!!!!!!

At least Win10 has fullscreen filter mode. It defaults to "somewhat yellow", but can be made quite orange. Night Mode.

Example below of what cells should look like in dark mode.

Please update dark mode in Excel to also include the cells changing colour according to the theme.
Dark mode in excel with the cells on the spreadsheet remaining white is pointless being that dark mode is there to reduce eye strain.

This is a much needed feature!
Dark mode in Excel is pointless unless the cells are also changed to dark to reduce eye strain.

Yep, dark mode that only covers the menu items doesn't really accomplish the purpose of dark mode. Please extend it to the entire application.

I too would love this. Outlook has it for messages, so it would be natural for Excel spread sheets to do the same.

yeah . it would be great . i am tired of staring at white spreadsheets. this would be stunning & soothing. Many people spend many hours on a spreadsheet , that would be really a boon.
I vaguely remember quattropro having this or was it some other one , i dont remember .
It would look awesome on todays displays. -

Across all of the Apps, a toggle that you can flick between two modes for the huge part in the middle that is taken up with the whiteness - reference to one for word on similar vein

Provide an option in dark mode in which the cell color defaults to black ( ie "no fill" results in a black background) and the text color defaults to white or light gray
