Disable the "SPILL!" error function completely
Disable the SPILL! error fucntion/code completely, it is garbage and wrongfully tags formulas with SPILL! Having to go in and change formula syntax to satisfy this random error is ridiculous.
The worst forced Excel function ever. Who developed and approved this never used Excel???
Office 365 uninstalled, Office 2016 reinstalled.

The #SPILL! error appears because at least one of the cells that the array would have spilled into already contains a value. It is useful to know that your entire array does not have enough room to display in full, and so you can do something about it. The #SPILL! error does have the little green triangle in the corner. When you click on the #SPILL! error, it shows you the spill range of the array. It is quite useful.
In response to Roy, if you want only the 1st cell of an array to be shown, use INDEX(<array>,1,1). If you want to use a Ctrl + Shift + Enter array formula, you can still use those.
