Please replace VBA with a modern scripting language
Please replace the VBA scripting language by something more modern.
I would like to see a .NET language with editing and debugging capabilities in Visual Studio.
I think that VBA is no longer a viable option as a scripting language.

VBA has such serious problems internally that (understandably) nobody at MS wants to touch it. It is a real problem for Excel to have a major component of the system be basically permanently stagnant and stuck in 1999. Adding first class support for a modern language like C# (while keeping backwards compatibility for VBA) would be wonderful.

Well, we are properbly many hundreds of thousands of users who like to continue to use VBA and instead see this evolved instead.
But as far as i know, excel does in fact support .NET
