Enable multiple workbooks in a single Excel instance.
Please update Excel so that it can open multiple workbooks in a single instance, like it used to. Having multiple instances open hinders my efficiency: I can't ctrl-Tab between workbooks and I can't Paste-Special from different Excel instances the same way I can within the same instance.

When using 2010 this enables me to have several workbooks open and positioned relative to each other, while being able to minimise or move the whole lot aside together in order to view data in another program, with a single motion or click. I find this very important and efficient, rather than having to deal with each workbook separately.
Please update Excel so I can open multiple workbooks in a single instance of the program! The lack of this obvious feature, which you removed since Office 2010, is appalling. I'm wasting screen space on multiple instances of the Ribbon.

This is an awesome Idea. I believe that it should be implemented with the use of a tabbed interface, similar to browser tabs, or similar to the current worksheet tabs, only on the top or side of the page.
I support this as well. It also hinders efficiency by not allowing one ribbon across the top of multiple open files.
