Improvements for Power Maps/3D Maps
As a non-GIS person, I have found that Power Maps/3D Maps is a fairly useful feature that lets me build maps. That said, I have definitely noticed some areas that could be improved.
1. Annotation Position: These are great for displaying information on the map. That said, if you have points on the map that are close by, the annotations overlap and there is nothing you can do. At the moment, you only can choose whether to put the annotation to the left or the right and the annotation is always below the point in question. An easy improvement would be to allow the annotation to be above the point on the map. The ideal solution would be to allow the user to drag the annotation to a position of their choosing.
2. Mass Annotation: Can we make a button that will add annotations to every point on the map?
3. Zoom: I feel like the current zoom options are not useful enough. If I want to fill the screen for a screen shot, I want to zoom in as much as possible. The current zoom + and - options zoom in and out way too much. Please allow for zoom at smaller increments.
4. Allow for larger data sets: The data set that I was working with had over 600,000 lines of data. I noticed that I wasnt able to aggregate the data by summing the value. To get the sum value, I had to create that in a pivot table and then use the pivot table to build the map with the summed value
