Implement the Stock Data feature from Excel 365 into Excel 2019 for Desktops
Basic stock information retrieval is a badly needed feature that should have been added to Excel years ago. A built-in feature would be preferable to hand-crafted solutions created by users or developers with varying skill levels.

please add this feature
I trialled Excel 365 purely to check out the new stock data feature. Decided to go with the one off purchase of Office 2019 thinking it would be the same version of Excel...but it's not. This was not clear in any marketing material I saw. Very disappointed. I would not have purchased Office 2019 if I had known this prior.

Ridiculous that the feature is present in 2019 but doesn't work. Bait/switch by Microsoft.
Why should there be a difference in functionality between Office 2019 and O365. This makes no sense. Extremely frustrating when the function exists in Excel 2019 but it just doesn't work. Please rectify urgently.
Bought Office 2019 and already disappointed, why in 2020 can t we have stock prices functionality built in in excel 2019 as it is on excel 365 ? Beyond me, this won t make me move to 365 but good try

It's been working on my desktop version for about four months with no problems. Yesterday it just quit working. My entire spreadsheet with multiple tabs all linked together is now worthless because all of my calculations pulled from formulas off the data card. The stock will show up, but not the data card. My entire portfolio was built off this and now I'm flying blind. It would of been better if it never worked in the first place. I tried a new spread sheet on my desktop and laptop and it wouldn't work on either one.

YES! It looks like it's there. I was told by MS support on a call or chat (forget) that STOCK DATA would work, And I bought 2019 specifically for that reason. But it doesn't work. :(
It is supposed to be in 2019, it is broken and needs to be fixed. It is in 365 so nothing has to be invented .
Also there are a lot of persons in Govt. secure environments that are not allowed "cloud based" apps like 365.
2019 is the newest "non-cloud" version and should have the same functionality as 365.
