Sheet Tabs Navigation and Organization
1- Have the option to have the sheets tabs on top of excel interface
2- be able to scroll smoothly while the mouse cursor is over the sheet tabs
3- be able to create sheet groups; Similar to groups in OneNote, however, the groups should be treated like a sheet tab. Meaning they should not be on the far right like how it is in OneNote.
4- not for me, rather for some users, being able to have multiple line of sheet tabs
overall just better navigation that suits this era.
Being able to stack/ group tabs would be a huge help.
This should definitely have more votes.
The tabs for Navigational and Organizational purposes need to be improved greatly. The tabs are still functioning like paper ledgers.
Addition to 1: Sheet tabs on top, bottom, left, or right of the window.
The sheet grouping similar to OneNote is an excellent idea.
Also as one of the previous comments suggested, navigation sidebar with sheets, charts, and tables.
Sheets should be navigated by a sidebar window, much like the Navigation sidebar in Word. We are mostly using widescreen displays, so it is ridiculous how sheet tabs are still regulated to a small strip at the bottom.

Hello fine people of Microsoft,
I, like many front desk check-ins, usually have a pc screen embedded in the countertops. In this situation, the keyboard is covering most SHEET TABS. In turn, precious time is wasted moving the keyboard aside to access them. Very Annoying.
Ultimately I would love to have an option to have the sheets tabs on top of excel interface or anywhere else besides the bottom of the screen.
So all I want for Hannukah is for one of you enthusiastic geniuses to kindly generate a simple algorithm to remedy this issue for all of us behind the counters and we shall be forever grateful.
Thank you and Happy Holidays!

To piggyback on this idea it would also be nice to have the sheet/tabs be placed in sections similar to what power point now lets you do with slides. This would help organize a complex excel file that has many tabs. I am trying to color code the tabs for each "section". This becomes cumbersome when you get over a number of sheets that fit in the bottom tray and you have to scroll from one end to the other. The section option would allow you to collapse all tabs/sheets in that section to easily navigate and organize.
