How can we improve Excel for Windows (Desktop Application)?

New Excel parameter to force pasting values (prevent pasting format): it could be a range option or Table option or Sheet protect option.

Create a new Excel parameter to force pasting values (prevent pasting format):

3 options to be discussed, ordered by preference :

A/ a new Range format option (e.g. Format Cells => Protection tab => "Locked Format=Yes/No")

B/ a new Table option (ListObject in VBA), e.g "EnablePasteFormat Yes/No"

C/ A new option when protecting a sheet (e.g. "Allow all users of this worksheet to paste format into cells which are not locked")

I've been churning out Excel "applications" for the last 20 years, with appreciable success. This inability to protect the destination side formatting of unlocked cells when pasting on a protected worksheet has been, hands down, the most annoying thing I've ever faced in Excel. Several professional Excel developers I know agree with me.

Option B would only work for users who open the workbook with their installed version of Excel (ie., it would not work for users that open the file in browser (SharePoint), but yes this is much needed.

Maybe an option in Options - ie., Options > Advanced > 'Paste options for this workbook'
