When borders are added to the Excel cells (which is done most of the time), the green highlighting is almost invisible. This cursor indication should be thicker when there is a border. Otherwise it is very difficult to find the cells in case of search etc.
There definitely needs to be additions to the options for current cell highlighting. I came here to find existing requests, so I could vote for them. There are plenty of existing requests. And in forums on the web, many people asking how to do this.
But somehow MS doesn't do what users are asking for.

But really, there should be options to:
1. Pick the current cell highlight color.
2. Allow the row and column of the current cell to also be highlighted.
Some of this can be done with macros, but many/most of us either don't know how to use VBA macros, or for security reasons we're prohibited from sharing spreadsheets that have macros.
