Pin worksheet tab
I would like a simple option to allow you to pin worksheets so they are always available in the workbook irrespective of the number of worksheets there are.
I.e. when you right click the worksheet tab there is an option to pin so you can quickly gain access when you have a large number of worksheets.
This is a great suggestion – thank you for taking the time to give us feedback! Unfortunately, we will not be able to work on pinned worksheet tabs in the near future. We’ll keep tracking the votes on this one.
When go file open in excel a list of workbooks comes up, it defaults to "recent" workbooks, but just to the right is a tab labelled "pinned" and another one labelled "shared with me" I have been able to pin sheets previously, has this feature been removed? I can't seem to add any new sheets to the pinned ones I have in place.

How do I pin more than 10 worksheets?
This is a great idea and would like to have this feature.
This would be incredibly helpful and seems like an obvious feature to have!
I have this same problem. The easiest work around I have found is to put a "home" link in cell A1 of each sheet. I have a cover sheet with all sheets listed as links, so i can quickly go from the cover, to say sheet 50. Then click "home" at the top of sheet 50 to get me back to the cover.
I was asking for same thing , when working with 100 sheets , I need that master sheet be pinned in lol

I'm hoping that this suggestion hasn't fallen by the wayside, as it would be exceedingly helpful for me in my work. I have a Budget Matrix with a cover sheet, the individual budget pages on which are hyperlinked for easy navigation. But with thirty plus budget pages, I have to click all the way over to get back to the cover sheet.
I was very surprised that I couldn't just pin the Cover Sheet to the far left.
Please make this a feature, it only makes sense.

This option was available in the version of Excel used by the Finance function at Procter & Gamble beginning in the early 2000'.
We could right/click on a tab to "Pin"/freeze it, freezing that worksheet and all those to the left. Also, then the location of where the scrolling began could be easily revised by clicking/dragging the point where the scrolling began along the tabs.
I didn't realize at the time this feature wasn't broadly available. Miss it!!!

Why is this not a thing already?

I would like to be able to pin worksheet tabs, almost like you can in chrome. If I have a workbook with 100 sheets, I do not want to have to hit the control button to scroll back to the first sheet. I would like to be able to pin the first sheet or couple so that when I scroll over to the right, those first worksheet tabs always remain visible.
BrIllant idea Les, saves you scrolling back anf forth, if you want to copy info between sheets, Have one sheet visible all the time, while data is collected from other sheets
