Filtering: Show count in filter box and add navigation buttons
Filtering:
When filter button is pressed on any column, the drop down menu should -
Show number of recurrences of each unique value displayed in the drop down list, in brackets on the right side of each unique value, in grey font. This will be very helpful in knowing, by just dropping down filter menu, how many records are there for each of unique values shown in the filter drop down list. Currently we have to filter each value and run a countif formula in a help column or look at the bottom line that shows how many records are filtered.
Show two buttons (maybe at top side of drop down menu), one down arrow button for selecting next value for filtering, and other up arrow button for selecting previous value for filtering in the list. This is very helpful when we are reviewing data by filtering one by one values in a column. Currently we have to scroll down to the value which is filtered, uncheck that and check the next value. Very tiring at times.

Thanks for all of the suggestions related to filtering. Unfortunately, we will not be able to address this in the near future. We’ll continue to track the voting.

Also give option to allow this data to be exported to another spot in the sheet or csv file.

When the filter is applied, status bar shows the row count but my vote is still for how it is suggested. Filter dialog must be already executing a group query on the column to find unique values in the rows, so it wouldn’t cause an additional load. So yes, total number of matching rows should be displayed in the filter dialog right next to values as suggested.

Even though Power Query just gave us item #1, it should be in the Filter drop-down as you suggested.

The filtered columns need to be much more obvious then a little tiny filter icon. They should be a different font color or format, chasinf highlights or somethkng. That really stands out. If you are working on a 50 column sheet with multiple fiters it needs to be extra clear.

3. Add Shift+click functionality to the filter menu, for selecting large numbers of consecutive items, but still fewer than the total list.
