Make selecting a Font easier by applying the words you have highlighted in the Font dropdown menu instead of the name of each actual font
Instead of the Font dropdown menu consisting of the Name of each font would it be possible to see the words you have highlighted in the font dropdown menu..? The problem with the Font menu only consisting of the Name of each font is that you can only see what each font looks like with that particular word. For example, you can only see what Arial looks like with the word "Arial", or you can only see what Broadway looks like with the word "Broadway", or you can only see what Candara looks like with the word "Candara", etc. So it may appear as though you like that font, but once you actually select it you may change your mind depending on the specific words you have applied the font to.
What I'm suggesting is lets say you have typed the words "The ball is blue", well, once you highlight this sentence and then pull down the Font dropdown menu you will see this exact sentence (or as much of it that can fit) for each font. This way you are able to see what each font looks like with those exact words.
I understand that as of right now you can highlight your sentence, pull down the Font menu, hover over each font, and watch as your sentence changes for each font you hover over, but what I'm suggesting goes a step beyond this and actually puts your words into the font dropdown menu, which I believe would be way more user friendly than anything we have today!
This idea also applies to other Office applications; such as, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, InfoPath, etc. So I will be adding this idea to those suggestion boxes as well.
