How can we improve Excel for Windows (Desktop Application)?

Need ability to allow only paste values in protected Excel without using macros or vba

Need ability to allow only paste values in excel without using vba i.e. in an .xlsx. This makes protected worksheet templates better.

We send protected templates to our suppliers who fill in invoice data and send back to us. The Excel template cannot have VBA code or macros to ensure that it passes through email systems. When we get back the template we use an inhouse VSTO addin to validate / push the data into our Accounting System. The data validations / conditional formatting built into the template get overwritten if the supplier does a normal paste. However if we can enforce only paste values without using macros / vba code that will make the template more robust. Hope the new Excel has this ability to accept only paste values in a protected workbook / worksheet. Thanks

For the love of god, stop users from destroying any conditional formatting or data validation with copy/cut paste.

Workbooks are often designed for tracking and require specific inputs to work properly. Average users don't understand this, and will break a controlled workbook without realizing it. Explaining this to them just makes them grumpy and less compliant.

Cut and paste destroys formulas in a protected worksheet...what's the point in protecting it then, if your users do that it ruins the integrity of the sheet.

Good ideia. However generally its usefull to let users introduce formulas. What we really need is a way to lock the cell formating, including data validations, conditional formating to prevent users from changing them, while allowing to introduce data (values, strings, or formulas).
This seams simple for MS to built in, and is a real mess to program in vba.
Everyone who has built templates for others to use certainly had or will have this problem.
Just can't realise why MS is taking so long to address this issue.
