smooth scrolling, without snap to cell
I too absolutely hate "snap to cell" scrolling. It is very annoying when dealing with cells with large amounts of text, which causes the spreadsheet to jump around a lot. Click to scroll does not help, since eventually when that function is stopped, excel still performs a snap to cell. Please just give us the option to disable this "feature"!

Instead of wasting energy telling us to vote on this, why not count all the posts, consider those "votes" and fix this!!
There is absolutely no reason for 'smooth scrolling' to not exist, its about to be 2020! I remember the 2013 and 2016 updates, and i'm sure this was a complaint then, and remains to be a complaint now. MS, fudgin' do something besides change icon aesthetics!
the 'middle click scrolling' suggestion is more helpful than anyone who i assume is working for this website.
However, 'middle click scrolling' is still annoying because it is so touchy and can fling you to the far reaches of your spreadsheet while temporarily taking away all mouse functionality.

one work around is to press the middle mouse button to activate 'middle click scrolling' or whatever its called! Once activated, you scroll up, down, left, right simply by moving the mouse. This approach does not 'snap to cell'

This seems to be a duplicate of https://excel.uservoice.com/forums/304921-excel-for-windows-desktop-application/suggestions/9769824-have-excel-scroll-better-when-there-are-large-cell
So please rather vote there to accumulate votes under one thread.
(Implementation was already deemed possible by the Excel team with the speed relying on votes for the feature request.)
