If you had the ability to split cells like you can in Word that would be wonderful.
Please re-add the feature that enables splitting cells into multiple columns or rows. We have several documents with this feature enabled, and need it to be able to continue using the current forms.

please if you have the feature to split a cell; can you make it easier to find.
Indeed this could be quite useful - if not too confusing with the cell references for example.
I posted a suggestion to Twitter which I'll add here:
Example: you have a table set up, and then realise certain cells could be split in half horizontally/vertically to contain more information that could be referenced separately from the whole cell. This could be done by adding rows/columns (on the worksheet level), but sometimes that's too cumbersome.
A solution could be cell division, that would create a more detailed cell reference/coordinate. A1 divided into four subcells could become A1/1 A1/2 A1/3 and A1/4.. or in some other notation, that would make referencing these subcells logical. I guess the idea could be developed into a coordinate / resolution system for worksheets.
