Latest Version of Office365 VSTO doesn't work with VS2015
When I use VS2015 + latest version of Office 365 + VSTO to create some vsto project. Error comes out: Project cannot be created.
The solution to this is to revert the office 365 to the old version.
I've tried a few times.
- Deferred channel(6965.2092): failed to download the version blabla.. So I have to revert to some Current Channel version.
- 1609(7369.2038): Problem still there.
- 1608(7341.2035): reverted from( 23:40 to 02:00 +1) after 2 hours, Same problem.
- 1605(6965.2063, June 30, 2016): Finally, this version is working.
It seems that something wrong with the VSTO or office 365 versions after 1605 or VS2015?
For every reversion, it takes at least 20 minutes. And I don't think this is a good way to solve the problem. This is just a low efficient way to avoid mistake.
Please help us to fix it instead of asking the users to revert to some uncertain old version and disable auto-update.
Auto-update and keep-using the lateset version is the the advantage of Office 365.
looks like a fix is on its way; currently doing the rounds in the fast ring for Office insiders
Not sure if this is the same problem I have just run into; but is does sound like it. I have Office365 Home installed and have just installed Visual Studio 2017 RTM with the Office Dev workload (VSTO) included.
When I go to create an excel document level customisation project (Excel 2013 & 2016 VSTO Workbook/Template addin) it returns the 'Project cannot be created' error
