Option to change scroll line count
Please allow an option or setting to change the number of lines that are scrolled per wheel scroll. The default is 3 rows, though its also tied to the windows mouse scroll options. I had to change my mouse scroll to 1 line to change the excel scroll to 1 row at a time. Naturally, this affects the scroll speed of every program. It would also be cool to maybe hold a key to change the scroll speed. So I could hold Ctrl maybe, and the scroll speed would change to whatever the alt setting is. Thanks.
There are countless stackoverflow questions about this matter, that dates to as far as 2009 and it's still not implemented... Changing Mouse line settings would f up the entire browsing. Both products are Microsoft's so windows integration should not even be a question. It's like the youtube's "reverse the playlist" request. They know they are the only choice people got so they just don't care...

It would be nice to scroll by pixels rather than by lines, similar to how it is done on excel online
I can't agree more with everyone, it's so frustrating.
Please add the option to adjust Scroll Settings.

Easiest fix on the planet. Come on.
This deficiency is a most incredible omission. The number of lines scrolled should actually be a function of the worksheet and saved as part of the worksheet, like formatting.
How is this still a problem? What an extreme annoyance with a pretty easy solution...

I hate this... I have to open and edit all my excel documents on the web vs the actual thick client because of this bug.

Hope this helps:
- Select Windows Start Menu
- Start Typing In Control Panel and Open it
- Select the Mouse Settings
- Go To the Wheel Tab at the top
- Change Vertical Scrolling to 1
I need scroll adjust now!
totally agree. This option is SO needed. There is no way to balance ONE scroll speed that works adequately OUTSIDE of Excel that also works well inside Excel. Some adjustment is needed and is long overdue.
OMG. I thought I was going nuts. I was like where are my rows going??????? The two I need to compare are nestled into two groups of three. Not way to see both without serious time wasting changes to view format. Not to mention dangerous - to easy to miss something important.
I second this
For a temporary fix, you can hit scroll lock then use the arrow keys, seems to work ok, but still not the same as using the mouse.
Agreed. And it would be helpful if you made it so that you can apply this feature to only certain sheets or the whole workbook.
That's my vote. You can't provide a setting and then take it away. Exactly right, typical MS.
Any progress MS? Having cells as 500px in company templates once filled out means you miss entire screens of information (as a row is nearly a full screen at this point). I have to resort to the scroll bar arrow buttons - the only time I ever have to use them in any program.
This needs to get more traction. We all really need this.
Ironically, Excel in MS Teams scrolls one row at a time
Even with my new MX Master 3, I am forced to scroll 3 lines at a time! Allow us to adjust the scroll speed, a default of 3 is outdated and cumbersome when we want to navigate quickly/accurately.
It's not a hard software update by any means!
WE DEMAND A MOUSE SCROLL REVOLUTION NOW!

This is so typical of shitey MS. Laughably bad and embarrasing for them.
