    Pinned documents are based on the account you log in to Office with, so as long as you log in with the same account, they should “transfer” between Office versions.

        +1 - this is a great suggestion. I was just lamenting the need to repin docs, spreadsheets, OneNote notebooks, etc after every reinstall (since I'm on an Insider ring for Windows and Office this happens quite often and is a fair amount of time wasted every time i get an update)

        Hi, Dan. No, they do not. I recently switched to Excel 2016. Same account but all my pins are gone.
