How can we improve Excel for Windows (Desktop Application)?

I would like to have the option of deleting a document (i am just learning the how to do it and I haven't found a way yet).

To delete a document, simply select the file in Windows Explorer (or SharePoint Online or OneDrive – wherever the file is stored) and press the delete key on your keyboard.

    Hope that helps,

Actually, I like the idea of this -for example, I'll have a mass of random excel files on my desktop, and once a month or so I'll have a clear out.

Currently, I have to open each on, decide if I still want it, close it, then re-locate it and delete it.

In the past, I've created a macro in the personal workbook which included a 'delete this file' button, and was hugely useful, so would love to see it as a baked-in feature
