PowerPivot Calculated Tables
Please bring Calculated Table feature from Power BI into the Excel Data Model. It is very useful to create intermediary tables from DAX calculations and link those tables into the data model.
We agree that this feature would be useful for many users. The difficulty is that adding this feature would break compatibility for existing Excel users, Data models with this feature would not run in Excel 2013, 2016, or 2019. At this time, we consider compatibility to be more important than this particular feature. At some point in the future we expect to find a way to deal with this compatibility issue, but we won’t be able to address this anytime soon.

may be this can be brought as an optional feature, leaving it to the user to take the call whether to enable this feature or not.

I see this being most useful for being able to create a Date Table using CALENDAR or CALENDARAUTO, or some other table that is based on multiple tables. Power Query can be a bit slow in creating tables that are based on multiple other Power Query tables.

I cannot believe this only has 5 votes. This would be a game changer for what you could do. It would also address (via workaround) some of the performance shortcomings of PowerQuery and its query caching that have been complained about elsewhere.
