1000%. I can't think of any reason why having merged cells in the row could possibly make any difference.

We can't figure out any logical reason for Autofit not working with some merged cells. Seems that this case was simply forgotten when Autofit was programmed.
        OK. But Please fix it!

This feature could be very very useful. But as it is now it's very seldom used, because it doesn't work as it should and reverts row height to 1 single row. (why 1 row??).

It would be so good if this was fixed.
My problem is that applying AutoFitted Row Height to rows with horizontally merged cells with multiple lines (doesn't matter if it's with Alt+Enter or Wrap Text) resize to one line tall, rather than the number of lines in the merged cell with the most lines of text (if this is the highest number of lines in all cells in the row of interest).

enable wrapped text cells (merged or not) to auto adjust vertical height of cell to show all content

It has always been a drag to me that when you have a range of merged cells the row height does not automatically adjust up or down depending on what's in the largest cell content in the row (even if that is a merged range).

This would be a BIG asset for formatting of complex models. It is a serious deficit to Excel IMHO.

Add auto row height for rows that include merged cells. This would allow for better use if Excel when requiring free-form text above ir below cells with numbers. I furst suggested this at least 15 years ago and it still bites me in the butt about ince a year :-( ..
