Use General format when inserting a new column instead of inheriting the format of the previous one.
Use Genral format when inserting a new column instead of inheriting the format of the previous one. Or ask the user.
When you insert a column, row, or cell (shift cells down), or cell (shift cells right), Excel gives you an insert options drop down menu next to the range you just inserted. I think they call it a tooltip or something like that. Simply use that menu and select "Clear Formatting".
Would be nice. I rather need General format instead of format of prev column.

You can always clear the column formatting by going to Home tab, Clear. Not a big deal.
I like the way it is. I dont have to worry for reformating the column
After many years, Excel still has dead lines or cells. Look at reliability.
