Enable user filter views
This feature should allow you to create, name, and save custom views of data that can be selected without affecting how other users see it.
As a next step it would be handy to share specific filter views with other users and choose which specific filter view should be applied by default.
Similar request already planned for Excel Online:
Example of how it is done with filter views in G Sheets (available for a couple of years by now): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Noue5sB69Uc
How is this not standard? Are there really not that many people asking for this?
This feature is a must. Just think of a daily report used by multiple department heads. They will want to filter their own values and they all will open the file at eight o'clock in the morning.
Its been 3-4 years..has there been any progress on this feature?
In our workplace we have a lot of people working in the same excel sheet and we need to be able to make custom filter/views so that each person can filter and see what they need to see without affecting all others working in the same sheet.
Yes please! Multi-user filtering please!!!!
Hi - when filtering in excel (Co-authored sheet), my team can see my filters and removes their own filters - v frustrating! is there a way to only have your own personal view whilst co-authoring?
I makes sorting columns an absolute nightmare as they keep changing every time someone changes the filter in another column...........
'Custom Views' are there, but they are disabled If any worksheet in the workbook contains data formatted as a table.
Since tables are used in Excel very often, this makes the current implementation of 'Custom Views' hardly usable.
'Custom Views' should be extended to support filters on Excel tables as well!
