Embed 3D maps in worksheets
Add the ability to embed 3D maps within an excel sheet. If you are making an excel-based dashboard, it would be great to have the capability to showcase the map right within the sheet instead of as a pop-out visual.
Thanks for the input. We’ll consider this in our future planning efforts. Please continue to vote on this idea.

Hi Scott, to make this complete and more usable please simplify the creation of custom maps. I am in logistics an it is very easy to crate a warehouse lay-out in Excel with the bin range as data in the cell. This will also make it possible to adjust visualization on cell size (conditional formatting or size. If possible it would be very nice to combine heatmaps for staging and packaging zones to visualize workload and bars for volumes processed. Now I need to export a picture and create x and y values.
At the very least, add the ability to open a saved map tour with having to go through the ribbon. If I could create a macro that automatically opens a map it would be useful.

Who thought it would be a good idea to add a geographic map, but prevent said map from being displayed on the worksheet? Does Excel have a *single other feature* that works this way?
Please add this feature, I'm begging you.
In the short term, a print area in 3D-Maps that will allow user to select area of map as an image to be embedded in sheet rather than standard message shown today, will also help.
Yes, please. Can't, for the life of me, understand why I can build maps but not embed them in my actual sheet.

Amen. It doesn't make sense to me that we can build pretty sophisticated dashboards in an Excel Sheet with the exception of mapping. Sure, we could use PowerBI or PowerView, but frankly they don't allow anywhere near the level of customization of charts and Pivots as we get in Excel's grid. Allowing us to essentially insert a map as a chart would be a killer feature.
