Remove the 255 character limit in Excel object model functions
The parameters of some VBA functions have a 255 character limit which makes some functionality impossible.

NB While these are Excel object model functions, they aren't VBA functions as they could be used from any language which supports COM.

An extremely frustrating obstacle to encounter when you have a complete dependence and expectation on being able to use a particular function. There is no point to using verbose names if they will cause functions to fail. Out of all the annoying bugs / limitations that have never been addressed in Excel this would rank up the top.

Why is there 255 character limit for ANY function? I would copy paste into Access except that the [will be] memo fields get truncated. I like to find duplicates in a column of comments, but discovered I have to =left(XX,255) in a separate column and look for duplicates there instead. What gives?
