Add vertical waterfall chart in Excel 2016
Add vertical waterfall chart in Excel 2016 (labels in Y axis) in addition to the existing horizontal type (labels in X axis)
Add optional lines between bar gap

Scott - this chart is included in most competitive viz software (paid & free). It's a no brainer, you don't need 1K votes to realize how widespread its use in business is. If you guys have coded a horizontal version and cannot come-up with a vertical one in 2+ years, something is seriously broken in the company. No wonder competition is thriving.
here's an example including secondary series and additional comparison charts inside. Great example but unfortunately no excel template included. Tried to re-create it myself with XL2016 but no success.
So far this is only possible with expensive add-ins
this type of chart is described in the international business communication standards, IBCS, (by hichert.com). It also should have the option to compare a second series in the chart.
Hello !! i also need this!! it would be great!! and yes, it is just a 90 °rotation!
this chart is available in Microsoft Power BI
Great idea. Although it's possible to create it from scratch, it does take a little more data preparation than the standard Waterfall. Would be great to have it included. But please, ensure the shortcomings of the new Waterfall chart are also addressed in any new charts included (I have posted a list of suggestions for this).
A quick work-around while waiting - use the camera tool on the standard waterfall and turn it 90 degrees.
Hi! Yes, it is basically just a 90 deg. rotation, i.e. instead having a waterfall from right to left it will be one from top to bottom. Very useful, especially on some PowerPoint slides due to layout options. I use this all the time in think-cell but would like to drop the add-in more and more and use just Excel/PowerPoint instead. Any questions, let me know.
simle 90 deg. rotation. It is realised in every add-in for excel, but not in the excel itself. The proposal was added ~10 month ago and still not included. How much time do you need?
