  1. power query fuzzy match

    Please include the option to show a similarity value for each match, as the Fuzzy Lookup add-in had it. Any time you do a fuzzy match you need to validate the results. Sorting by similarity make this much more efficient, you can ignore the 1.0's, and see if the threshold should be adjusted.

  2. Allow time format >24 h in Power Pivot and Power BI

    In order to calculate monthly call times, one has to create an overly complicated DAX formula in order to show the times above 24 h correctly. As a result, it doesn't function as TIME, but as TEXT, and one cannot use it in charts.

  3. Monitor Pivot tables refresh

    In case of using slicer, which is controlling several pivot tables that are linked to external source.

    The refresh of these tables can take few minutes and sometime some of the tables cannot be refreshed due to different issues.

    The idea is to be added some dialog box with the status of the refreshing? For example to show how many tables out of total have been updated in each moment. In that case can be understanded which table cannot be updated and also will be nice to see what is the status of refreshing.

  4. Pivot Table, extract data to sheet or view seleted data set to amend.

    When in a Pivot Table and you double click on a number, Excel returns an additional sheet with the data. New feature - Create an option, perhaps right mouse click, to give you the option to view the data in the data set or return the additional sheet with the data extracted.

  5. Select Data from Pivot Chart as well as Pivot table

    When the data from a Pivot Table is also shown in a Pivot Chart, can there be a 'feature' that can 1) Highlight the number in the Pivot Table when selecting a single or multiple data sets in the chart .. and ….2) report the data when double clicking on the chart area rather than double clicking on the number in the Pivot Table.

  6. Enable Pivot tables to automatically refresh after a query table or list object has updated - this is how Excel used to function until 2016

    Until Excel 2016 (I believe), Pivot Tables automatically updated after a query table had refreshed. With the removal of this functionality many of our workbooks have been affected after our move from Office 2010 to office 365.

    Can we please get this functionality back - not only did we use to rely on it, but in terms of a calculation chain, it makes perfect sense.

  7. edit data from pivot table

    Give me the ability to edit the source data from pivot table (instead of opening a copy).

    This would be huge b/c it would open up using Pivot Tables as a flexible UI, not just analysis.

  8. Allow Dynamic Arrays to reference Pivot Table

    We often want to further do further calculations and data comparisons on pivot table results. While I'm sure there is lots to do "under the hood" to accomplish this, it would be great if a dynamic array formula could reference the results of a pivot table so further calculations could be made. Currently a "#REF!" error is shown.

  9. Include database search functions like AND / OR / NOT in the pivot table search function within the filter section

    In databases when searching for key words you can use filters like AND, OR and NOT to refine your search. When using the filter section of a pivot table to search for key words this function is not available which means if you search for the word 'strength' for example but would also like to include 'strong', this must be done in independent searches with no way of knowing which results include both words.

    remedying this would make the search function more efficient.

  10. Show pivot table total above heading

    Often there are hundreds or thousands of rows in a pivot table. To see the column total we need to scroll to the bottom of the report. Please add an option to show the column totals above the headings

  11. Power Pivot: Make 'Hide from client tools' also hide columns from drill-down

    Data models often include helper columns, which can be hidden from pivot table available fields using 'hide from client tools'.

    However, if the end-user wants the underlying data and uses the drill-down functionality of a pivot table (double-clicking one of the values to open a new sheet with underlying data), they are presented with every column in that table in the data model.

    The 'hide from client tools' option works to hide them from available fields in the pivot tables, but it would be nice if it also removed those columns from the new sheet of raw data created when…

  12. Create a formula to Display Data Source of Pivot Tables

    I work with numerous pivot tables within one worksheet. Some have the same data source to generate the pivot table and some do not. It would be extremely beneficial if there was a way to display the source of the pivot table within a cell to use as a reference value. So create this either by a separate formula that displays the source criteria or if that is too difficult, maybe just allowing this to be a feature of the PivotTable Options and allow to 'show source' at the top of the pivot.

  13. Add "Change Source Data" button to context menu for pivot table cells

    Simply add a button to the right-click context menu for cells in a pivot table to refresh the pivot table. Having to go up to the ribbon (or Alt hotkey) is annoying.

  14. In DAX, allow variables to be named "Dimension"

    In DAX, you cannot have a variable named "Dimension", despite "Dimension" not being a keyword or the name of any function. Please allow variables to be called "Dimension", or if this is not feasible, at least add this restriction to the documentation.

  15. Change "PowerPivot" to "Power Pivot" in the PowerPivot Settings window

    Click on the Power Pivot tab in the Ribbon in Excel and click on Settings. In the window that appears, the old spelling "PowerPivot" is still used, even in the title bar. Please change these to "Power Pivot".

  16. In DAX, allow comments to exist at the beginning and end of a measure

    Currently, if you try to add comments to the beginning or end of a measure, the comments will be silently removed when the user is done writing/editing the measure.

    For example, in the measure below, the //1 and //3 are removed.
    Test:= //1
    (

    0 //2
    

    ) //3

    Interestingly, if you have a calculated column that is written similarly, such as the one below, then no comments are lost.
    = //1
    (

    0 //2
    

    ) //3

    Please fix this issue.

  17. Make Pivot Tables function more like Data Tables

    Data Tables are an excellent feature. From automatic extension to special range reference syntax to styles, they are a work of art. Please give pivot tables some of the same innovations. Replace GETPIVOTDATA with the table referencing syntax. Update the coloring to match the new table styles, or even better let us just use table styling on our pivots. Let us add columns via formulas in the worksheet instead of the calculated column dialog, just like extending a table. Oh and if we could have a non-vba way to auto-refresh them that would be great :)

    Please please please add the percentile function to Pivot Tables! I spend spend so much time manually calculating percentiles.

  19. Add ability to turn on Manual Calculation Mode in PowerPivot using VBA

    When adding measures to a data model using VBA, It starts to get real slow as the number of measures gets high. Seems like it might be evaluating all existing measures after each additional one is added in. If we could turn off the PowerPivot version of auto-calc using VBA at the beginning of the macro, that might allow it to suppress the evaluation and just do it once at the end.
