  1. Make sum and average total display at the bottom clickable

As it said in the title - by clicking on that area (on screenshot) those values will be copied to your clipboard and you will be able to paste them in different cell.

  2. New Formula editing experience

With the arrival of LAMBDA and LET we now need a new formula bar experience. Please vote and put your suggestions in the comments on what features you’d like the formula bar to have

  3. Open find with options

The find dialog has an options button but it always opens with the options hidden. I literally always need to click that button to get to the options I need, or even to see which are currently set. Can Excel PLEASE remember that I clicked that button and leave options visible? Preferably between sessions too.

  4. True Dark Mode

Actually make the dark mode for Excel change the working document's background colour black/dark without needing to format.

  5. formatação de célula especial - special cell formatting

Adicionar mais opções, ou deixar o usuário inserir suas próprias opções na formatação especial de célula (Imagem), como placa de carros, documentos com textos, ou até mesmo colocar seu próprio formato ali

Add more options, or let the user enter their own options in the special cell formatting (Image), such as car board, documents with text, or even put their own format there

  6. Pick color in Excel Like at Powerpoint

In Powerpoint there is a color picker tool to bring custom colors to the pallete.

Many times we need to do it using PowerPoint to get the RGB combination to be used in Excel.

Could you replicate this color picker into Excel in the same way it exists in PowerPoint?

    Portuguese:

    Conta-gotas PowerPoint

  7. See LAMBDA inputs and text in formula edit box

When selecting a cell with a LAMBDA function and then using the fx icon to display the Functions Arguments dialog it would be wonderful to see the function's input name(s) and description (from Name Manager's Comment box).

    Please see attached mockup

  8. Add Sharepoint Folder connector to M365 Business and Business Premium

Crazy that M365 Business and Business Premium come with SharePoint but that version of Excel does not have the Power Query SharePoint Folder Connector

It should also be included in Office 2021 Standalone versions when released

  9. A New Function to Make Scalar Functions More Powerful in an Array World

When Dynamic Arrays (DA) were introduced, it opened a plethora of possibilities and a lot of formula nerds and automation ninjas were empowered to begin a new wave of creativity while building more powerful worksheets with fewer formulas. As we explore the potential, we are discovering that there is a new limitation that begs for a solution. This is a proposal for a new function, SEGMENT, that can expand the flexibility of scalar functions that accept arrays as parameters so they can operate more robustly in an array world.

Consider the following problem as an example.

    We have a two-dimension…

  11. Use new dynamic arrays in data validation

The use helper columns in tables now often is unnecessary if using the the new dynamic arrays. But if I want to use the output of one of the new functions as the source for a data validation list, I need to put the function in a cell and reference to that cell as the source for the data validation list. I would like to be able to put the dynamic array function directly into the source field of the data validation dialog.
Example: I have a table with a column of countries. I want to add a cell with…

  12. A Better Spell Checking in Excel

🇺🇸 A good spell checker is important in any software. In Microsoft Word, it's a classic. In the modern web browsers, the dictionaries are there to help us write better as we type.

Excel should have the same ability to highlight our errors, as shown in the image:

  15. Make Excel obey the "scroll inactive windows" setting in Windows 10 (resubmitted Aug 2020)

Make Excel obey the "scroll inactive windows" setting in Windows 10. Currently Excel will scroll when it is an inactive window, but it will not allow other windows to scroll when it is the active window. This makes transcribing data from a source that needs to be scrolled difficult.

This idea was apparently fixed in 2018 (link below) but perhaps something broke it, as it is present at this time, evidenced also by the long comment thread in the "completed" item.

    Please fix this again.

  17. Disable/Enable steps in Power Query

It would be great to have a feature that will disable/enable the steps in power query. This will allow user to see the behavior of the data on the depending steps without deleting steps.

Currently the work around is to comment the step and reference the previous step to the next step.

Having this feature with a click of button would be great & ease our life!

if you support this idea please vote for it

    Regards, Faraz Shaikh

  18. Python integration

It would be nice if we could use Python for writing macros rather than VBA. (I realize that it's possible to automate Excel externally using Python and the COM interface, but this is slow.)

  19. Allow INDIRECT to work with dynamic names

Now that we have dynamic arrays, we can set up dynamic range names to define those dynamic ranges.

However, because INDIRECT doesn't work with dynamic names, we're limited in the ways we can use those dynamic names.

Please fix the INDIRECT function so that it works with dynamic names.

  20. I'd like to avoid the "DISCLAIMER regarding financial market information... etc." - please allow possibility to tick off after reading

    Hi
Seeing the "DISCLAIMER regarding financial market information is provided as-is... etc." multiple times is annoying.
Please provide a possibility to tick off the disclaimer after having read it - potentially based on the user, so it pops up ONE TIME for each new user of the spread sheet.
I hereby hope NEVER to see the Disclaimer after having seen it ONCE in the same spreadsheet :-)

    Regards
    Søren
