  1. Custom factory layout and maping data to layout

    Excel can give option to mark layout boundaries on factory/place picture and map data on the layout. Similar to piloting data on world map

  3. Filtering and highlighting on Pareto chart

    It should be useful to have the capability to filter on a pareto chart the categories that account for the 80% for example. When there are a lot of data it is not visible. Also it is useful if there are some type of vertical lines where you can highlight the boundaries for A%,B%,C%...

  5. Give users the ability to put the color back in all the Toolbar icons. The October 2018 white/blue icons are impossible to decipher.

  6. Highlight which theme colors are applied

    currently it is very difficult to see which color set is applied in themes. it highlights a bit but the outline is very thin. can not be seen properly. it should be thick. also it would be better if applied color set stays on top. a search option can also be included to search for a particular set of colors

  8. Export to .pdf as graphic rather than a full page

    When I export an Excel table to a .pdf file, Excel puts the graphic on a full page and exports the whole page. Many times one wants to create a .pdf graphic file not as something standalone to print, but as a graphic for inclusion in another document, . It should be possible to export JUST THE TABLE as a .pdf graphic. Since the Excel graphic itself is a vector graphic, not a raster graphic, this would make it MUCH easier for the user to adjust the final graphic size wherever s/he wants to put it..

  9. It should be easier to copy graphs and then use different (but equivalently structured) data to feed them.

    I don't know if this is a problem just with scattergraphs, but I often have to produce multiple identically-formatted graphs using different columns of the same table showing the relationships between pairs of variables. If I copy the graph and select the new data, this doesn't work. It should.

  10. Allow linked pictures in comments

    You can add pictures to comments via the format comment pane. It would be great to allow linked pictures (i.e. camera tool) images to also be inserted into a comment while still retaining the link to the cell range.

    For dashboarding, this would be great. Hover over a number and the cell comment appears with additional data or even a chart.

  11. Automatic Calculation Icon - Quick Access Toolbar

    I include the Automatic and Manual calculation options in my toolbar. It helps to have a quick way to switch back and forth and lets me know immediately which mode I am in when I grab a file from a colleague. This feature still exists but they are now identical buttons. Can one button have an A and the other an M or something to immediately identify between the two?

  12. Please create a turn off button in "Draw". I cannot turn it off.

    I use the "draw" button, for brief shop drawings with my work, now I cannot turn it off. Please create a full population of tools from start to finish so the end user can manipulate the tools on user end without having to make a gigantic search for it. Stop designing stuff only with the engineers ideas in mind. All software engineers should keep their customers in mind as they design stuff.

  13. Allow the ability to color text, not just the whole cell. This function will allow excel to do what Word does with a table!

    Allow excel to highlight text just as word with a table does! With excel I am doing a literature review for college and to do it in Word, I have to create three documents and stack them next to each other, a real pain in the a$$. With excel, I can fit all authors on one excel, but I cannot color code with highlighter when I have used the source in my final paper, not can I color highlight different talking points. I'm color blind, so the coloring of the text really does nothing for me. PLEASE fix this!!(Excel, not…

  14. Bug in the color function with scatter graphs

    When I have a scatter graph with two or more variables (A & B) and I make some change to A, often the color of B will change to be the same as the color of A. II then try and change B back to its original color, A will change to the color that I change B to. I have to save the file, close it, and open it again in order to change A back to its original color. This happens all the time -- normally, I'd say -- when I make a change in one of the…

  15. Additional Axis on 3D histrogram

    Dear Excel's Developer Command! Please consider the possiblity for Additional Axis of argument on 3D histrogram. In some tasks this need apperances. Unfortunately existing today variants permit add other axis only for combined 2D Histrogram.

  16. Multiple y axes on xy charts

    Right now, xy charts only supports a primary and a secondary Y axis. It would be great if we would be able to draw multiple lines with different scales, each one with its own Y axis. And when I say multiple, I mean more than just 2, as it is supported right now.

  17. Graph Data Labels Disappearing when Filtered

    Good Morning,
    Below is a post I put into the Microsoft Community Page on an Issue I am having with graphing. The Moderator was able to re-create the issue and told me to post here.

    The issue is When you have a bar graph by month, and want to filter out older months, for every month you uncheck, you loose a data label in the later months on the graphs.

    I would like to see this issue fixed in a patch if possible. It would prevent me from going back to Excel13 to get my graphs printed each month.

  18. I'm using Excel to create a parametric design and have hit the upper limit on the number of lines that can be drawn, namely 255.

    It would be great if the upper limit to the number of lines that can be drawn in one graph was increased from 255 (in the version I have) to, say, 500.

  19. Have Excel and word connect to Office Lens automatically

    On the insert tab have a button to add from Office Lens. You then take your pic, and it is inserted automatically.
