  1. Cut and delete/remove cells

    When cutting & pasting information (rows or columns) from the middle of one sheet to another sheet or workbook I always think it's a real pain to have to go back to the first sheet to delete the empty rows or columns.
    I'm no Excel expert, but I've never found a way around this?
    So my idea is to have a (right click) "cut & delete" or "cut & remove" option?

    • Add a feature that will help to sort/filter a value with multiple appearances e.g double entry, multiple entry

      am intending to clean my data but it seems one individual has been entered more than one time some double, others triple others about four hence multiple appearances
      I would like to have feature in office 2016 similar to what appears in previous excel versions.

      • Disable Autofill for specific Columns

        The feature autofill is extraordinarily useful.

        But sometimes the suggestions bother in specific columns.

        I suggest to add an option to disable autofill for specific columns - and not only globally.

        • Add current date via command in ribbon (and not via keyboard shortcut)

          Not everybody prefers to user keyboard shortcuts.

          At the moment there's no way to enter the current date (or time) via a command in a ribbon.

          I suggest to add those missing commands.

          • Add functionality for ctrl+shift+v paste without formatting

            Other programs allow paste without formatting using ctrl+shift+v. Though this can be done through the right click menu it would be great to see this function built in.

            • Case Change Feature on the Ribbon

              PLEASE bring back/add the case change feature in Excel. Having to use the Lower Function for something so simple is useless, especially when one is on a deadline or have several edits to make.

              • Working on more that one open Excel document

                When working on 2 open Excel documents (back and forth between the two), there comes a time after 10 to 20 minutes when neither allows changes or edits any further - until one of the two documents is closed. Then the changes can be edited and saved. I can re-open the closed document and things work okay for another ten minutes or so until the problem repeats. This is a bug that Microsoft needs to address with a future update!

                  • New paste-special feature that can help curb some labour

                    Hi, a new paste special feature can be added that can serve the purpose below -

                    1. Select multiple cells / ranges from various parts of a sheet, copy
                    2. Using new feature in paste special, paste the contents on a different sheet or a different part of the same sheet with the positions of the cells unchanged.

                    For example, if you select the ranges A1:D7, E1:G1,H1:H7 and copy and then select A8 and paste, it should result in the contents being pasted to the ranges - A8:A14,E8:G8 and H8:H14

                      • Allow user to select ranges and edit cells within a merged cell without un-merging cells

                        PROBLEM: We often have tables (not always defined as a formal table range) that include horizontally merged cells within a row. On occasion, we need to delete a block of cells from the center of the table where the merged rows span over the cells being deleted. This operation cannot be performed because we cannot specifically select the block of cells we want to delete.

                        GLITCH: When a block selection includes horizontally merged cells, the selection is forced to expand to included the full width of any merged cells included in the range. This, in turn, forces a widened selection…

                        • In the Dutch version, you now have two kinds of "opmerkingen"

                          You have introduced a second kind of comment. In the Dutch version, you now have two "opmerkingen" next to each other. I suggest you keep the old one as "opmerkingen" and rename the new comment boxes to "notitie", "commentaar", or "aantekening" . I'd prefer the first, as it is shorter.

                            • Ability to right click and take the sum in the status Bar

                              In the status bar when you select a bunch of numbers it shows the Sum, Average and Count (default setting). A feature where one can right click on the status bar and copy the sum (or Average or count) to paste it in another file would be super useful. Sometimes we need to select a few items and quickly get the sum etc and probably paste it in an email or take the data into another excel file. That way one can avoid writing formulas or scribbling it on a piece of paper.

                                • Word has SHIFT + F3 to toggle font style to all caitals, all lower case, and Camel type. Provide this for Excel also.

                                  Please add options which are in use from Microsoft Office Word 2016, also in Microsoft Excel. For example, provide option to toggle and change font in selected phrase, from ALL CAPS, all lower case, or Camel Type on words. Word uses SHIFT + F3.

                                      • Note "Right Click Menu" option

                                        you changed the Comment option to Note, but if you use the "Right Click Menu" option and have multiple cells selected to delete the Note it is still listed as a comment

                                        • Data Validation doesn't work for autofilled data

                                          E.g. if I have List validation with Int16, Int32 and so on for a Range, and have Int16 in some cell in the Range, I can fill down Int17, Int18 and so on. So Data validation Rules are ignored for fill down operation.
