  1. Recent Files listing button reset link path

As the user opens excel there is a list of recent files opened with excel. At the end of each listing near the pin/unpin we could have a reset button where the user can set a new path after the user has changed the paths and broken the recent files listing link(s).

  2. Filename chang notification

As office is more integrated into one drive and SharePoint folders, if we open a file from the list of old opened files in Excel, even if file name has been changed, the file will open without a notification.
This new feature needs to send a notification to the user that the file name has been changed to avoid confusion looking for files in folder.

  4. Save As Feature that saves Each Tab as individual CSV

As a user who needs to often merge multiple tables into new tables that feed Systems, I would like to quickly export the merged Table in my excel file to a CSV. Right now I have to copy the table and put it into a new Single Tab excel file. The manual process has often resulted in subtle errors in the copied file. IF I could save the tabs from a Multi TAB excel file into individual CSV files (with the file name as tab name) this would be a great quality improvement for my team.

  5. Please redo the UI of the File/Open page

In Excel, when I use Ctrl-O to open a file, the rightmost column (with previously used files) has its own vertical scrollbar, separate from the scrollbar for the File/Open page itself (I don't typically use Excel maximized). Because the middle column has a huge fixed width, I need to use the page's horizontal scroll to get access to the embedded vertical scoll for the previously used list.

Please redo this UI so that 1) the middle column is resizeable, and/or 2) there is only one vertical scroll bar (the scroll bar for the page). To be clear, for option 2,…

  6. SAVING

I think the name of file in the excel ribbon should be editable and saved automatically by just clicking the name changing the name and once you are through the file is saved automatically

  8. Office programs crash EVERY time there is an update

How about every time you have an update for an Office product, you don't cause the program to stop responding, crash and lose all the unsaved work? I am feeling a class action lawsuit...

Watch them delete this post in an attempt to sensor.

  9. Your latest changes to the File - Open - shared with me are counterproductive

I have two files "shared with Me". Recent changes have crowded this list with all of the Excel Files that I have opened from e-mail, requiring a search for these two files. Worse, when I click on any of these files I get an error that the path is too long.

Also, I use for files that I view/edit in the field using iOS Excel. These files do not appear on the recent list. They should be available there.

  10. Auto save needs to be added to the lifetime subscription

Auto save was a feature on 365 and it needs to be a feature on the Lifetime subscription.

  12. Protected View Settings

Protected view Settings expresses a general caution. An use who accepts the caution need to proceed with the contents of the Microsoft can give a feature to copy the file to a new file without any harmful contents. This will help the user to proceed with the work on hand.

  13. Start up Folder -be able to go into Explorer and click on the Folder Required other than having to type the full path - often told no

Under File Options for Default Start up can we have an option to go to Explorer and select the Folder we require.?
At present one has to type in the full path name and is often told "cannot-invalid" etc.

At present mine now defaults to Personal.XLSB and I am unable to remove this

  15. Scroll thru "Pinned" Worksheets

When you right-click the Excel application in the taskbar, a list of "Pinned" and previously-opened worksheets pops up. It looks like we're limited to a small number of either Pinned or Recently viewed sheets, so it'd be nice to be able to expand that list and be able to scroll in the small window (when you right click the app in taskbar). I'm aware that you're able to hit File - Open to view past sheets, but this would be nice for jobs that require a small number of sheets to reference that are used on a regular basis.

  16. Quick Access Feature when Saving

I submitted a question via that Answers path and I was unable to resolve my issue so I was requested to provide feedback. Unfortunately the feedback method within Excel doesn't work due to security restrictions at work so I will try here.

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msofficeother-msowin10-mso_o365b/change-save-as-behavior-in-office-365-proplus/be939fee-3990-4266-8eb4-dc5969290cd7?messageId=100bada0-6dcc-4504-8299-1357192afbec

There is my initial post to Answers which references another users similar request. The recommended solution didn't work with our implementation if you check the comments on that post.

It is very frustrating that the quick access feature which replaced favorites in older versions of Windows no longer acts as a "quick" access. Any help…

  17. Add "Open Read Only" when right clicking a OneDrive synch'd file in File Explorer

We have spreadsheets with dynamic formulas (e.g. today()) and sometimes we just want to read the contents and not save a new version. The files are on SharePoint and synched with OneDrive, so appear in File Explorer. We'd like to be able to right click and open read only from the File Explorer.

  19. Add a checkbox to all save dialogues that allows you to copy the path just like the Pictures save dialogue.

Being able to copy the path from the save dialogue allows a very easy way to then attach the saved file to some other application.

  20. Sequence of folders

When I want to open a folder, the list of folders does not start with the most recently used at the top. I cannot see a way of changing this default. The most recently used folder that is most likely to be the one I want to use again.
