  1. Make freeze top row work consistently when filters are also used. Has been an issue for many versions.

    Freeze Top Row, when combined with filters often leads to unexpected behavior. Today, the first row is not freezing on my sheet when I have filters enabled. There are also issues with cells not accepting focus (or at least displaying that focus has been accepted).

  2. Locate collapsible row toggles better

    I know how to create collapsible rows in excel by using the group data tool, but I don't like how it places the (+) and (-) down a row and all the way to the left. would love to locate these toggles in the same cell as the header of the data you are collapsing.

  3. lock filter

    Feature to Lock/predefine the size of a Filter Menu Windows.

    I would love to see a feature making it possible to Lock or predefine the size of the pop-up "filter meny" when working in Excel. I have to adjust the size of the "filter menu" every time in order to read enough of the text in the "filter menu window". Please make this possible.

  5. Filtro simplificado

    Sería útil una filtro similar al que existían por ejemplo en la version 2003 de excel, donde uno simplemente al desplegar la lista, los elementos aparecen uno abajo del otro y se puede ir eligiendo, sin necesidad de ir tildando o destildando valores.(una opcion similar a la que aparece ahora cuando se elige el filtro avanzado, pero que se pueda elegir directamete al clickear sobre el filtro o con alt+flecha hacia abajo). Esto es muy importante cuando se trabaja con muchos datos y se quiere filtrar y comparar rápidamente.

  6. Filtro simplificado

    Utilizo una planilla en la cual voy filtrando por distintos criterios y analizando la información. Resulta muy poco práctico cuando uno quiere cambiar el filtro,ir tildando y destildando el criterio.Y no existe una manera sensilla de ir eligiendo los valores del filtro. Se debería agregar una opcion de "filtro simplificado", de forma tal que uno al desplegar la lista pueda elegir con el mousse o deslizar con la flecha el próximo valor, tal como se hacía por ejemplo en la version del excel 2003. (lo más parecido que encontré es la opción que aparece en filtros avanzados)

  7. Excel for Money - Enable sorting for columns on transactions tab

    The fields on the transactions tab allow filtering but not SORTING of transactions. Allowing them to be sorted by any of the various fields (amount, account, institution, etc.) would be very helpful.

  8. Have a time sheet facility template

    How about a simple time sheet facility template for logging time to tasks and totalling each and reporting on them daily, weekly, monthly etc.

  9. [FEEDBACK] Data Sort during Ctrl A vs Select All Arrow at the Top Left : Microsoft Excel

    Data Sort does sorting differently in 2 similar scenarios


    1. Ctrl A -> Sort
      Headers are respected and won't be sorted


    2. Select All Arrow at the Top Left -> Sort
      Sorts by Column with no respect for Headers.


    Just to let Microsoft know about it.

  10. Need a way for Excel to compare existing cell data to data in a drop down list that is replacing itplacing

    Is there a way to have the program compare free hand data in a cell to entries on a drop down list so that if you want to convert a freehand column of data to one that respects a list, you do not have to do them one at a time to do so? It is quite tedious to have to redo all of these entries one by one.

  11. Filter sorts only within the filtered area! This is a bug. Please add a warning at least.

    It's illogical and misleading to have a "Sorting" function that works differently if you select it from the ribbon (Data -> Sort) and if you select it form the filter dropdown!? There should be a warning about this before it's applied!
    Because this is what happens:
    1. Data -> Sort ... sorts all adjacent columns together - no matter if a filter is there for all columns or not. This is the default and logical behavior. And there is a proper warning/query about that case.
    2. The "Sort A to Z"/ "Sort Z to A" buttons from the filter dropdown…

  13. I have a table that is updated on a daily basis with new numbers from right to left... Each row is the next day... I would like to be able

    Have a table that is updated daily. First column is the date. Most recent (numerical) data is entered into the table on a row associated with that date from left to right. Each day will have a different number of entries. I would like to be able to pick up the most recent data entry on the row for that day and paste it into a different cell on the same row to the right - always the same column. Can't find that this option is currently available.

  14. "format cells" \ Special \ Serial Number Make it a bunch easier if 00023232323232323 didn't show up as 23+14 or require '00 w/ cell as text

    you have 'format cells \ special \ social security number, why not also include serial number, basically text, but keeps the begging letters and zero's, without getting formatting errors for using " '00 " to keep you're zeros.

  16. Modify Slicer Color Preview Order Fails to Match Element Order

    When customizing Slicer colors, the Slicer Element list is not in the same order as the color preview image. It makes relating the option to the preview confusing.

  17. find all

    there is no way to find a keyword in the data I have and it is imperative that I use the find all button. I have to sift thru 30,000 to 50,000 rows when I import my spread sheets so it gets to be time consuming when I need to consolidate my information.

  18. Choose Columns From A Table In Excel

    In Power Query, Query Editor, There is the ability to select columns from the data you imported. When you use this, only the columns picked are displayed. Could this ability be added to the Design Tab for a table? The way I see this being used would be for editing data in a large table with several columns. You could click on a "Choose Columns" button, pick the fields(columns) you want with all the rest being hidden. Do what you need to do, then click the "Choose Columns" button again to unhide those columns that were hidden, like the "Show…

  19. Autofilter Easy Number Search

    Searching numbers in Autofilter should be easy. Especially when numbers are already formatted as numbers, you shouldn't have to type separators (like","). In the latest version of Excel, you can't search for one-million unless you type "1,000,000". You should be able to type "1000000".

  20. Malfunction in Tables and Sorting Fix with Insert Row and Copy-Paste

    I think there is a malfunction in Tables sorting, though looking through excess data, I cannot determine if it is true or not.

    Namely, Because the Tables have some fixture assigned to them, the normal Cut and Paste seems to have an ordering problem.

    For instance, if I read into a Table on Page 1, which is a compilation of several Tables from Page 2, 3, 4, and so on to 'n' tables...
    … if I insert a line into Table 'N', and input data, , and then go to the Page 1 Table and insert a line, then paste…
