  1. Sort results of formulas

When you have a list of items with a formula applied to them (for example, VLOOKUP or SUMIF to a set of data), it would be extremely useful to be able to sort based on the output of that formula.

The only solution is to copy and paste values the outputs, then sort - but this is a very manual process if the results of the formulas change frequently.

Even if you can't make the sort function work in this way, you should fix the error it causes - after sorting, the formulas become linked to the wrong input cells,…

  2. Windows 10 + Excel: Fix unfilter column bug...

When using Windows 10 and a large spreadsheet, many users of Excel 2013 and 2016 encounter problems with excel calculating extremely slowly when you remove the filter from a column. Unfiltering the same spreadsheets works fine in Windows 8.1.

  3. Tables with rows as the headers

Tables are really great for managing data. Sometime It would be useful if the table could have the rows as the header rather than the columns. e.g. a regular excel table but transposed.

  4. select all filter

When filtering a column, the "select all" option of filters shows up at the top of the filter box...speaking as a frequent user of long filter lists, it would be helpful to include the "select all" option at the BOTTOM of the filter box in addition to the top

  6. Filter empty cells

Since I usually work with long filters it would be helpful, that thick box for empty cels would be on the top. Thank you.

  7. Header selection while sorting

While sorting data after selecting all cells in sheet, allow us to specify how many rows at the top constitute the header and should not be sorted.

  8. Vertical Autofilter

Excel allows you to use a horizontal autofilter, the same procedure could be applied to vertical autofilter.

The procedure already exists in relation to the horizontal direction, the vertical's solution could be similar.

Visual design may be the same, only the triangle should be rotated 90 degrees to the right.

  9. Unhide a row by number

I have a large spreadsheet with many hidden rows, hidden after performing various sorts and culling ranges of the sorted data. So the hidden rows are not necessarily contiguous. In a Find All search, I found a cell that met my needs, but it is in a hidden row. There is no way that I can find to unhide that row without unhiding a whole range of other non-contiguous rows that were hidden for differing reasons. I see several opportunities to make life easier for users. 1) An "unhide by row number" feature; 2) A context menu in the Find…

  10. Swap option on filter

Filtering spreadsheet tables is a great option for quickly getting to the data you want to see, but how often have you scrolled down a long list to find the option you want only to realise you didn't deselect 'all' right up at the top?

How often do you select a group of options to look at the rows for it and then want to change to see everything except that group?

With a SWAP option on the filter box, possibly right mouse button activated, you could turn all the current ticks to blank, and all the current blanks to…

  11. Resize Table by double-click

Something, you have to resize the area of your table when you manually import or delete data in a Table.

Currently, you have 2 options to resize your Table:
    - With the button Resize Table
    - By drag and drop of the delimiter of the Table (it looks like a triangle) to adjust to the size of the data

My idea is to double-click on this Table delimiter to adjust automatically to the area of the data (rows and columns). This means that the table would automatically extend or contract to include new data or exclude empty rows/columns.

    What do…

  13. Select All Autofilter also in static options

Often when using the Auto filter you look for the value(s) you want to filter on then you realise you have not un-ticked the select all box at the top before scrolling down. It would be good if there was a select all in the static section of the auto filter.

  14. Filter Arrow

It would be nice if you would attach the Filter Arrow in the cell to the top of the cell not the bottom. The arrow hides the cents in a subtotal and the only way to see them is to turn off the filter. If they were attached to the top of the cell you could expand the cell and see the full total.

  15. Search option for Slicers

Providing search option for Slicers is very useful when we have large list to select.

  16. Improved filters in Excel

Implement a way to temporary turn of all the filters in a table in all the columns (and to turn the same filters on again). Make it also possible to add an extra column to the right in the table with filters without having to turn off and on the filters.

  17. filter or sort

It would be perfect to be able to filter or sort not only data that are in columns but also data that are in lines.

  18. Formula to get the first x row of the data set of a table

I need a function to return the first row of the data set of table.

currently, the workaround method of mine is:
create a name "firstRowName" for the formula
    offset(tableA[[#HEADERS]],1,0)

after that, index(firstRowName,columnIndex,1) can give me the first cell

limitation:the table must have a haeder

Most of the time, my working formula just refer to the first row only. However, if you are building a new formula, it is better to make it like
    FirstNthRow(table, [#row], [headerIncluded?])

Performance to get these row is also important.

  19. "Others" Table split option

Desperately needs a feature that's not difficult to do: A kind of maximum Output size for PivotTables and other kinds of Summary views. The function should possess the ability to create a set amount of values and/or a set amount of "others" aggregated at the bottom.

  20. Maintain link between two tables using structured names as tables move

When linking the values of two tables of the same dimensions (not that it should matter) using structured references in the form of =Table1[2016], the values are correct as long as the second table containing the formula is aligned horizontally with the source table, rows matching up with rows.

However, as soon as either table is shifted up or down, the references act like absolute, unlinked cell references and one or more of the cells returns a #VALUE! error.

As you can see in the pictures, several methods of referencing do not work:
    a regular structured reference, i.e. Table1[2016]
    locked…
