  1. Add option to filter drop down list

    i wants to add an option to filter drop down list which gives output as in inverse select in filter

    example: in a column i have values as 1,2,3 & 4. In a filter firstly i selected with 1 & 3 then with the help of above idea which output is select 2 & 4 in filter.

    • Formula to get the first x row of the data set of a table

      I need a function to return the first row of the data set of table.

      currently, the workaround method of mine is:
      create a name "firstRowName" for the formula
      offset(tableA[[#HEADERS]],1,0)

      after that, index(firstRowName,columnIndex,1) can give me the first cell

      limitation:the table must have a haeder

      Most of the time, my working formula just refer to the first row only. However, if you are building a new formula, it is better to make it like
      FirstNthRow(table, [#row], [headerIncluded?])

      Performance to get these row is also important.

      • When I use the filter function, I would like "Blank" to be on the top, rather than the bottom of the filter window.

        • Invert Filter Selection

          I'd like to see an option to invert filter selections. For example: If i apply a filter in a table i can select some boxes with a tickmark, but if i want to invert my selection i need to unmark selected itens before and mark the others.

          In resume, i'd like to invert itens selected in a filter for the others unmarked.

          • Increase Locked Table Length

            Please PLEASE allow tables to expand when the sheet is locked! At the moment I have had to write code to unprotect the sheet, expand the table, and reprotect! This is labourious and time consuming. Implement this option to make tables even more powerful!

              • Enchance table cell reference

                tableA[@column1] can refer to only the corresponding row. Can it be something like tableA[[@column1],[offsetRow],[offsetColumn]]?

                outside of table, if i want to list the table, my workaround method is using cell reference only.

                My idea is to have a Table Manager, like Name Manager. I want the table manager to show all cells(areas)/names that use something of a table.

                • Add a Reverse Selection option

                  Often I apply a filter for say 10 of the 25 items to analyse.
                  The next thing I want to do is filter for the not yet filtered items (so the other 15 out of 25 items).
                  Now I have to do this manually.
                  I really like the Reverse Selection option (like in Windows Explorer) to be added to Excel.
                  In the attached file I added a screendump of Windows Explorer with this option but this is in Dutch. I think in English the commands are Select All, Select Nothing and Reverse Selection.

                  • Border Update : Microsoft excel

                    dear sir,
                    In Excel Border section you can update new icon which can do multiple border at once. for example: we are using microsoft excel in my company everyday. while doing excel tabular type of presentation i have to put borders for the for the cell column & row (alt+h+b+a) and also thickened the border (Alt+H+B+T). If you update the excel by single icon which will do both the action at once which means it will put border for the selected cells as well as put thick border for same selected table cell end. because i am doing this type…

                    • Be able to copy only values instead of formatting when using the Advanced Filter.

                      Currently when using an Advanced Filter you are forced into copying the formatting of the data you filter. There is no work around to only copy the values.

                      It would be very helpful to be able to only copy values with the Advanced Filter, instead of having to do a second pass at redoing all formatting.

                      • Keep last size of Filter drop-down menu

                        You should consider a way to keep the last size user set for the Filter drop-down menu - it's quite annoying having to resize it every time you open it to see more items or longer names - even if you opened the same filter for the same column repeatedly before.

                            I work extensively in Excel, and run across a couple of things that I believe would be better served if they were rearranged.

                            1) Filters:

                            A. My primary idea for this is to move the “Blanks” check box to the top of the list. I often wish to filter only the blanks, and find it a little aggravating to have to scroll to the bottom of the list to select this.

                            B. The ability to filter non-adjacent columns.

                            C. The ability to create a custom filter that could include multiple columns of data simultaneously.

                            • Microsoft Excel stopped working

                              Hi,

                              I am working on an excel with almost 1000+ columns and 10sheets. The moment I add 5columns in each sheet and then try to delete the columns again, excel stops working.

                              I added the 5 columns because I needed them but later on they were not needed and I had to remove them. Each time i tried to save the file, it stopped working. I understand I have described the issue in a much simpler way but in real it is actually so much frustrating to do one simple thing multiple times that finally I thought to post it.

                              • Maintain link between two tables using structured names as tables move

                                When linking the values of two tables of the same dimensions (not that it should matter) using structured references in the form of =Table1[2016], the values are correct as long as the second table containing the formula is aligned horizontally with the source table, rows matching up with rows.

                                However, as soon as either table is shifted up or down, the references act like absolute, unlinked cell references and one or more of the cells returns a #VALUE! error.

                                As you can see in the pictures, several methods of referencing do not work:
                                a regular structured reference, i.e. Table1[2016]

                                • Multiple total rows in tables

                                  Wouldn't it be great to have multiple total rows in a table. Say I have a column with the sum in the total row, but I needed the average and count for that column too. The only option I know of now is to make separate calculations below the table. I would be nice if all of those calculations were an integral part of the table.

                                  • "Others" Table split option

                                    Desperately needs a feature that's not difficult to do: A kind of maximum Output size for PivotTables and other kinds of Summary views. The function should possess the ability to create a set amount of values and/or a set amount of "others" aggregated at the bottom.

                                      • Table Naming [#Headers] [#Totals] translation bug

                                        I am using Excel in different languages, English, Dutch and Turkish. When I open an excel file that I have created for example in Dutch, and I open this same file again in English then automatically all formulas and functions translate to the relevant formulas and functions, except for one type of functions/formulas!
                                        Namely all formulas contending Table references or formulas. I.e. Tab[[#Totalen];[Date]] (Dutch) does not become Tab[[#Totals];[Date]] or Tab[[#Kopteksten];[Date]] (Dutch) does not become Tab[[#Headers];[Date]] and vice versa...

                                        This means that you can't use conveniently Table naming for more complex usage of your excel work. Why are normal formulas and…
