  1. Right Click > Filter > Clear all

    I have a large spreadsheet which I occasionally need to filter.

    It would save me loads of time if Clear All could be added to the right click > filter options, instead of just clear the column I'm in, or reapply the filter.

  2. Sheet View - AutoFilter should remain for every - or until you change it in your own View

    There is a very dangerous behavior, if someone REMOVES this AutoFilter in one of theirs SheetView:
    It disappears also from EVERYWHERE - and every selection in several views is gone!!

    This happens also, if anyone changes it in "Default" - View. As this view is more like "it's the view of the latest change in any sheetView"

    I can't find any option where I could "save" my settings for this AutoFilter, or something similar - like checkbox: never remove my autofilter via change of any other view or default - per default set to Yes

  3. in the slicer tool add a search Textbox

    In ordinary PivotTables one can find a Search Textfield within the Filter Function of a PivotTable Field (dropdown arrow Menu).
    I would like to have such a Search Text Box within a slicer toolbar. See Screenshots below. Thanks!

  4. View first row of table

    Have a way to view the first row in a table when you're working a few rows down. Like a way to see the column headers so you can fill out the table properly

  5. Allow "Custom Sorts" that you create to be saved so you can reuse without rebuilding each time

    On the Home tab, in the Editing group, click the Sort & Filter list and choose Custom Sort. Once you build a Custom Sort, allow it to be saved so that it can be reused.

  6. Sorting two rows should always mean no header row

    When two rows are selected and Sort Ascending is clicked, Excel should "guess" that there is no header row.

  7. When you create a table do not automatically apply filters to column headers

    When I create a table or insert a table around a range of data, it automatically applies filters to the column headers.
    This is annoying, especially when small tables are used for variables or other configurations that are they imported into Power Query
    Similarly, when you create a new query in PQ, it automatically outloads it to a new sheet unless you change the connection type
    It would be useful to be able to set these default actions to others - i.e. do not filter or do not create a table connection

  8. floating slicers

    I have a spreadsheet which spans around 100 columns and 500 rows.

    I have a slicer to quickly filter the information I need to see, but, if I scroll away from where the slicer is placed, it becomes lost as it is anchored to the spreadsheet rather than floating above it.

    Please could you add an option to either anchor or float the slicers (i.e. don't only have one option, please give us the functionality to choose if we want our slicers anchored or to float).

    If the slicer floats, then I could scroll anywhere on the sheet and would…

  9. dropdown list search

    When we put Dropdown list function to a cell it should provide the quick search feature.
    Now in drop down we have to scroll down to the name or data that we are looking at.
    If there is a dynamic search attached, we can type in few letters or words of the line that we are searching and the lists that matches with the data will be shown down.
    eg: if we have 100 names of the staff in a dropdown list and we start typing the first name of the person all the people who has same name in…

  10. Make set filters stick out more

    It can be difficult to see what columns are filtered when you are managing a large spreadsheet with several columns. If you made the autofilter neon or stand out more this would be an easy fix

  11. shortcut to remove all filters

    easy shortcut to remove all the filters on tables in a worksheet.

    I work in finance and always filtering and unfiltering multiple columns, it would be fantastic and save so much time to have this shortcut.

  12. Multiple Sort Views - Saved!

    I have a large sheet with thousands of rows and almost a hundred columns. It has data that is shared by several teams and each team wants to see it a different way. I resort the data for each team and send a copy out to them. I would an option to have multiple saved sorts for the data that can be stored in the same sheet. In this case, then I only send out one copy of the data. Can this be done please?

    it was working properly but suddenly my vba code does not disable autofiltermode .

  14. display number of rows in the filter drop down for each column

    When the filter is on and you hit the carrot at the top row, a list of values in this cells is shown where you can filter out certain values. It would be great if there was a number in parenthesis that next to the value that showed how many rows were included with that value. As an example if there are 10 records that have either red or blue in that column, the list could show red (4), blue (6). Thanks!

  15. Increase the Table Style First/Second Row Stripe Size

    The Stripe size is currently limited to 9 for table rows and columns. I have a report builder that dumps tables to excel and style formats them. A customer wanted me to change to alternating style to 10 (the data contains repeated groups of 10) rows and i found out it's capped at 9 in excel. The limit seems rather arbitrary so it would be nice if excel supported up to a 100 or something higher.

  16. Provide drop down list of columns where filters are applied with column's alphabetical label in brackets.

    This ties in with recommendations of others where they recommend changing the color of the filter button to easily identify filtered columns. Also consider providing drop down option or pop up option to list column names (with alphabetical label of column, such as (A), (B), etc). This will help to easily identify columns where filters are applied. You don't necessarily want to go to each column, but rather want to catch up with the logic / thought process you were busy with. Maybe some short abbreviated info about the values filtered as well.

  17. Allow columns of text and numeric text.

    Manufacturers item codes may be numeric only or mixed alphanumeric, possibly with symbols. When a column is formatted as text, I do not want the numeric text sorted as numbers.

  18. Make filter option also using the bold or unbold etc,.

    As we have filter option using the color, it would be great if we have filter option using bold or unbold text format also.

  19. Create a feature in tables that allow a column to be used as a primary key like in a SQL database

    Allow to define a column as the table entries ID (the primary key), which would be written automatically as an autoincremented number when more entries were written.
    This would not be a formula, but a real number, preventing changes while ordering the data or deleting rows.

  20. When moving columns in table keep original column widths across the entire table

    When I move a table column, the widths of columns to the right do not keep their original column width... or column grouping. I would like column widths and grouping keep values as they were before moving column
