"saved" status of workbook
Give users feedback on the "saved" status of a workbook--Explicitly SAY that the workbook is saved rather than leaving us to assume nothing went wrong
We have completed the work and the “saved” status is now available on Excel Web!
Thank you all for your feedback and responses.
Yes, and the same method should be used for Word Online, Excel Online, PowerPoint Online so it's consistent. BUT, the Word Online way of doing things now is not good, because it disappears after a moment. We need an indicator that always remains, showing either 'Saved' or 'Saving...' when it is briefly saving the document.

Hello, It looks like it has been awhile since this was posted. Is there an update on showing the saved status in the online document? It is pretty scary closing a document and trusting the internet that is it saved.
I agree with the suggestion that it is shown either in the bottom of the document or in the top of the online document so that way we know it is saving or saved.
A date/time stamp on the bottom that informs you when the file was last successfully saved/auto-saved?

Excellent suggestion, I did not know I wanted this until I read the suggestion and realised I have often wondered whether my changes have been saved when I wanted to close the browser session.
