Allow for personal user views/filters
When using Excel Online, if you add a filter, everyone using that spreadsheet in Excel Online will see that filter. Can you please add an option for only the one user to see that filter?
We are excited to announce that Sheet View is now available on Excel Web!
Thank you all for voting and influencing Excel Online priorities. Keep voting for other ideas you want us to address.

This should not depend on the number of votes but the functionality it adds
We've just started using Excel online for a shared workbook and very quickly not being able to individually filter is a problem.
It is so blindingly obvious that filtering would need to be a user level facility and not systemic that I find it odd that online sharing went out without it - yet alone to still not have it after nigh on 2 years of request.

again, this feature could make or break the product, it makes google sheets much more attractive, please implement it.

You must fix this Microsoft. In this case Google Docs is the winner. At least you should enable co-authering in Excel desktop application in the same way you have enabled this for Word. Not necessarily in real-time. Fix this! //Kind regard from just another Microsoft partner with customers who are frequently asking for this
This was originally requested in 2015 to which you responded you would update accordingly. It is now 2017 and nothing has changed. Google Sheets has this fixed. Why don't you? An update would be appreciated.

We are sharing a file between 10 or so people, the issue is, we try to filter the view to what we are working on, but then that hides the other items for the other 9 people and so on. So we end up just fighting to filter to our worklist/content.
Filters need to be user set, with the exception of any filter settings when the file is worked on "Locally" and locked out to one user, when that document is saved back to the cloud service, in this case BOX, then it should save the filter settings as the Default view.

This issue is extremly frustrating. We hold a defect register on Excel online. Its hard enough trying to get buy in to use a new app (Excel Online), having glitches like this just makes the move that much harder.
We have had to disable filters, which is very archeic. Surely a simple first step to resolving is to turn of FILTER as a 'saveable' item. This way the filter remains local to the user and only for the current session.

I tought Excel online would be great to work on a the same spreadsheet, it seemed convenient, but it's very annoying when fliters are often used. please fix.
Spent the last month learning a lot of excel so that our three local offices could collaborate. (Medical field - only learning tech for specific utility).
Anyways - thought I had it all figured out. Nice table, easy-to-understand conditional formatting with multiple dependent data validation lists.
I get to release day for our offices to collaborate and.....it was such a disappointment.
I know you guys are busy - but if you could either enable this AND/OR finish with the development of calendar integration & templates in Planner it would be much appreciated.
I have put in a vote for this feature. I rate it very high on my list of criticals for Excel online to offer.
My office just switched to 365 from Google and if we had known this function is not available I would have heavily lobbied against doing so. Please get on this ASAP as it is a vital function to many people using online spreadsheet.
Its been almost a year and a half since this question was posted, can you please give us a time limit by when it would be updated
We just realized this...we will move back to traditional Excel, this is a huge limitation that actually offsets any benefits
This needs to get done.. Was considering going over to 365 but since this is not possible we're staying in google sheets..
This is horrendous!! Makes using these online worthless. Please get it sorted.

This request had previously been marked for under review, but now it isn't and with no explanation for why not? -- What gives MSFT?
It took me 2 months to get my team to use Excel in OneDrive and this feature is making everyone turn away with their noses up and back to the old way. Please put this at the top of your priority of changes to implement. Thanks!

Allow multiple users to simultaneously filter data without affecting each other. In google docs this is possible by making "views" of the data, where each user can add its own filters or accommodations of data, and if you edit a cell data, it is updated in every view of the other users.

This feature is desperately needed. For true collaboration on shop floor where each person is supposed to be updating a multitude of data in a spreadsheet. Each row belongs as a responsibility for one or the other person. For now, when each person cannot have custom filters, they have to scroll through thousands of records than just their own.
We'd be buying several licenses for this product once you come out with it!
We really need this feature in Excel Online and App!

This is like in google apps. It's great when you have 1 large spreadsheet, eg 2500 people and 100 managers. Each manager creates their own personal filter which filters only their team. All 100 managers can edit their team data (as the rows are exclusive to them) in their own data view. Meantime HR can view all teams per country. And VP can view all people's data.
This is the **major** reason why our company still prefers google apps over o365. Google-compete guys, please take note. Do this and you remove 1 of the last remaining reasons for google apps.
