Allow Users to Edit Ranges should function in Excel Online
This functionality would be incredible for several things my office would like to implement if it worked online. Maybe I'm doing something incorrectly but it appears other users have been having the same issues. When I open an excel online file in the desktop app and give specific users permission to edit locked ranges it works when editing on my computer in the desktop app but not when editing on the web app.
Exactly. A cell included in the "Allow users to edit ranges" on a protected sheet can be successfully edited only via the desktop application but not the online one. The online application needs to permit editing such a cell.

I have the same issue as well. Once the sheet is "protected", the "allow users to edit ranges" doesn't work for the Excel Web version. Nobody including the owner cannot make edits to the worksheet.
