Make higher hardware requirements for Excel.
Set the minimum requirement for installing and running Excel to be something crazy like an 8 Core / 16 Thread CPU or higher. Currently employers are getting away with buying 2 Core / 4 Thread laptops that perform worse than some mobile phones and require their employees to work on Excel sheets with 2+ million rows full of functions and add-ins. Making the minimum requirement higher, will ensure employees get the best possible workstation to perform the assignment.

I'd wish for this kind of idea also, but it's not manageable. But a (real) quadcore requirement would be VERY nice indeed. Then you could work arguably good.
